Jimbo "The Marlin Master" Carmouche!

Howdy peeps!

It's been a couple of days since I last wrote the fish report. Sorry things get a bit busy more often, which is cool with us, but sometimes this doesn't allow me to post the reports after the boats come back....just be a bit patient with me ok? Thank you so much, I appreciate it.

But now, let get you that 411 you've been waiting for...........So... lets go back in time.....Yes, back to June 1st, 2010........... tada!!!

Today was a very warm day, a bit chilly in the morning but hot during the afternoon with temerature being 92F while waves were chest high and a bit rough...ahhh but this did not stop all are good professional and non professional fishermen to stop their day o' fun! Seasickness??? pop some dramamine or scopace and voila!

On this day we did very good with yellowfin tuna, ok with Dorado and won the lottery with, another successful story, a 180 Lb Marlin caught, reeled in and released by another member of the Carmouche Party!!! These guys were on a role!!!!!

Tunas were very co-operative, we caught a total of 28 and we only had 3 boats out. Not bad huh?

So the day began like this.........(time warp!!!!)

Jim Gobbi and crew members John, Steve, Tyler, Jordan and Kato came fishing with us for a full day. Their trip was planned ahead a long time ago by Julie. These guys are staying above the redrum office so there were here just in time. It would've been funny if they would've been the last ones to arrive or be very late, but fortunately they didn't.

They went off on the 32' RumRunnin and while being escorted to the boat by Mate Americo, their ladies were saying goodbye, taking pictures and wishing them goodluck from the balcony that has the Marina view. They fished with Captain Javier and came back with 9 Yellowfin Tuna the biggest being around 30 Lbs. and 1 Dorado. SHARP guys! great job!

Dustin & Elizabeth Dorsey also fished with us on this day. They went out on the 28' ReelRum with Captain Jesus and Mate Edgar. They went out for a full day on the Pacific side and their catch through out the day were 7 yellowfin. Like I said earlier, tunas were being good players! Nicely done you guys.

The last group to go out on this day were once again the Carmouche's. This was also their last trip with RedRum and last night staying at the Portofino Condos. These fellas came back with 12 Tuna and (drum roll.......) a 180 Lb. Striped Marlin!!!! Guess who reeled it in this time....No, not 17 yr old Hunter but his Father Jimbo! I can see where hunter got his skills from he has a great mentor!...no wonder.

Jim faught this marlin for a few minutes before the Marlin decided to lets say...take the day off. It was quite an experience and we are glad to name Jim the new Marlin Master. The marlin was a good fighter but Jim played the right card! Great job Jimbo. The rest of the crew were cheering for Jim as he faught this monster fish! In the end they all came back to the office to get their fish frozen up and vaccum seeled. You can imagine...the office was loud! LOL I am a person who talks very loud and with all the good vibes and excitement they came back with, well this got me on a roll!

Unfortunately the Carmouche party had to say "hasta la vista baby" to Cabo yesterday and we really hope they decide to come again and have another awesome trip and pass on the legacy to another member of their Royal Partaaayy!
Thanks guys for the awesome attitude, it was my pleasure meeting you all and hope to do it again soon.

June 2nd, 2010:

Yesterday we also had a regular customer Paul Gaske fishing with us for a half day trip on a Panga and came back with 5 yellowfin and 1 roosterfish. This nice fella already knew everything he had to do and what he would except...so my morning speel was not even necessary.....My whole "you have to hold on to the fishing licenses. When you get on the boat the mate will ask for them and hand them over to the port Cap..........STOP! He's a regular.....the man knows this stuff already! but it was actually the first time I had met him. Of course he did not tell me to stop or shut me up he was very polite but he seemed anxious to go out, so I had to cut my speel shorter than usual. LOL. He had a great time out there with Carlos. I guess I will be seeing him more often!

Thank you all for reading and thank you for liking my reports. It's nice to hear people actually make comments when the walk into the office! "You're the guy who writes the reports" "you write just the way you talk" "You do a good job" 'Keep em comin'" and so I will! =)

Have an awesome day my friends!
Nick
