Hey Guys,
Yesterday we caught and released a Striped Marlin that was 6 ft and weighed around 80Lbs on our 32' RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Jesus.
Aside from the Marlin, we also caught a total of 8 Bonita and 4 Sierra. This was on 3 boats going out.
Kara, Tom, Alexis and Sean fished on Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan. These nice people came off a cruise ship and fished for a half day. Their journey began at 9:00 and ended around 1 PM catching a total of 10 Sierra. I hope they do send in their pictures so we can post them
We had LIsa, Dale, Patricia, Marc and Sheryl fishing on Cabo Chica with Captain Lupe and mate Ricardo for a half day trip beginning at 1 PM. This group was the first out of 3 to come back in and they landed 4 skipjack.
Tuna is still out there but since we had half days we couldn't really target them. Hopefully today the story will be different. I will keep you informed.
We will be posting more videos soon!

Tuna has shown up again!
Nice temperature here in Cabo guys, perfect sea level, sea temperature, and wind speed. Pack your stuff and come fishing with us.
I hope you've been enjoying our latest videos. They're short but we'll be posting more and more each day/week.
On to what you've been waiting to read....TUNA began to bite again which is superb. It had been slow for the first couple of weeks but as of Wednesday things started picking up again which is good. Especially for this time of year. Marlin was also caught and released this week. You can check out the video of the latest marlin that was 110 Lbs released on RumRunnin just a couple of days ago.
Since this report is for 3 days of fishing I will do a brief recap of what was caught:
Cosmo Amanto and his crew fished on Nuevo and during their trip they caught a total of 6 bonita (which is at it's best season right not) He fished with Captain Alex and Mate Manuel
John Guadabasso had fished for 2 days and on his last day he did a total of 3 yellowgin around 10-20 Lbs and 1 Dorado
Lewis Bush and his party of 15 had an awesome time out there. Their final number during their last 2 days of fishing was a total of 16 Tuna, 1 Marlin (C/R 110LBS check our video) and 1 Dorado. Awesome.
Ed Dracht fished on Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan and had a great time out there, they caught a total of 3 yellowfin tuna and 1 dorado. These guys came back to the office to tell me they had an excellent day out and enjoyed their trip.
Joel Cleavland, his wife and kids had a great half day experience on ReelRum with Edgar and Omar. In the end they had caught a total of 28 bonitas.
Gary Bloedel and his crew fished on RumRunnin and came back with a total of 2 Yellowfin and 20 bonita
John Stevenson who also fished on a half day trip caught a total of 5 yellowfin
Lonnie Everill and his crew did a full day on Nuevo with Alex and Manuel and got a total of 6 Tuna and 1 Bonita
Tom Sedlacek fished on our partner boat Cabo Chica and landed 6 sierra and 3 tuna
Last but not least Sean McCrary fished on ReelRum and caught 8 bonitas and 3 skipjacks....not sure if they're the same.....mmhhh guess I have to look it up.
Thanks for reading.

Inshore bite, red hot!
Today the inshore bite was a lot hotter than the offshore bite with the Bonita going crazy! Bait has been a little hard to come by the last few days, so the guys are going with 5 live bait and 5 Ballyhoo each day. Most of the action has been on lures anyway, but always nice to have something live to pitch when a Marlin is spotted.
Cosmo Amato, down from New Jersey with his uncles and cousins, headed offshore today after a decent Tuna bite yesterday and a few Marlin. Unfortunately, the bite shifted inshore today and they didn't get bit. Manuel and Jesus spotted two Marlin who unfortunately weren't interested and the guys got into 3-4 different schools of Porpoise but unfortunately no Yellowfin were around.
Chuck and Laura Soder down from Ohio joined Ramon and Juan, the crew of TantRum today and they had a little more luck offshore than Cosmo's group. Laura's dad was nice enough to buy them a day on the water because he really wanted his daughter to experience the thrill of catching a Marlin. What a great Dad! Well, mission accomplished as Chuck and Laura caught a nice 140lb Striped Marlin and 1 Yellowfin Tuna.
Tom and Cyndy Ruma, good friends of my wife Brooke's, from Nebraska were out with Omar and Americo today on RedRum. Tom is a semi-professional Bass fisherman in Nebraska, so we had to show him how it was done here in Cabo San Lucas. They decided to stay inshore today, and were able to catch nearly 30 Bonita, nearly all were released and also 1 Dorado. Cyndy said everyone had a blast and no one got sick, her main concern. Tom and Cyndy are now home owners here in Cabo so we expect to see a lot more of them.

Mondays, Ryan has a case of the Mondays...
*I don't need to hear from any of our loyal customers in the New York/New Jersey area today, I am well aware that the Patriots choked and lost to your beloved Jets. Just don't get too cocky about the rest of the season and end up putting your foot in your mouth.*
Now to more important news, offshore fishing in beautiful Cabo San Lucas. Football? Who cares about football when you live on the edge of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, one of the most beautiful and bountiful places in the world when it comes to offshore sportfishing!!!
Today we had Lewis Bush and his crew of 15 guys down from the Ocean City, Maryland Marlin Club. Founded in 1936, the Ocean City Marlin Club is one of the oldest in the country. http://www.ocmarlinclub.com/index.php
Fishing on four of our boats, El Nuevo, RedRum, Rum Runnin and Pescado III, overall the guys had a good day on the water. Some better than others, but that is usually the case. Top Honors for the day went to the guys on Rum Runnin who caught 3 Marlin, 2 Yellowfin and 1 Dorado. The other three boats accounted for 1 Marlin, 6 Yellowfin, 6 Sierra, and 5 Bonita. Welcome to Cabo guys, glad to have you here.
John Guardabasso and Sandra Medica joined Ramon and Juan for their second day on the water, a full day in which Marlin was the main target. While pitching bait to several fish, they were only able to get one big Striper to bite. They caught and released the Striped Marlin which was estimated at 150lbs.
Bruce and Kelly Domaille, down from Rochester, Minnesota wanted to catch "lots of fish" and "anything bigger than lake perch." I figured we could just send them out to catch bait with the bait guys and they would be happy. Instead, we decided on an inshore day and they were constantly hooked up finishing the day with 12 Bonita and 4 Skipjack Tuna.

Hey Guys,
This is what fishing looked like today. Joe and Karen Assenza fishing along Ryan Donovan on our 32' RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Jesus. Fished for 8 hours and caught a total of 11 yellowfin tuna.
You guys might be seeing more and more videos uploaded daily to backup our fish reports. Still trying to figure out if I should do it daily or a weekly compilation of videos from different customers???
Let me know and that's what I'll do.
Enjoy.

Inshore at it's best!
Inshore fishing is still at it's best. My suggestion right now is to stick close to inshore for the action! You can find Sierra, Rooster, Skipjack, Yellowtail and some smaller fish. Tuna, Dorado and Marlin have stop biting at the moment but that't normal during this time of year.
We have spotted Marlin and Tuna but they aren't biting yet that doesn't mean that we haven't striked a few tunas over the past days.
Yesterday we had 2 boats going out Captain Ron was on a panga for a half day trip along with his buddy Chuck. After their trip was over they had scored a total of 40 Bonitas and 1 Dorado that was 20 Lbs.
Fred, Rachael, Alex and Josh fished on Tantrum with Captain Ramon and mate Juan for a full day on this nice 28' Californian boat. They caught and released a Striped Marlin, 3 yellowtail and 4 Bonitas.
We'll keep you posted with what goes on this week.
Thanks
Nick

Inshore's the way to go!
Inshore fishing is still at it's best. Although Tuna, Marlin and Dorado seem to have migrated we have been spotting several of them but the bite is just not as good as we hoped. We've still managed to catch some. However; Sierra and Roosterfish have been biting great and we've been catching these on a daily basis.
Kim Bum-Suk fished on RedRum yesterday and on his last charter out of 3 he caught a total of 2 Dorado, 2 Roosterfish, 9 Sierra. He fished with Captain Omar and Americo on our 31'. Kim had a lucky trip during the three days of fishing catching tuna's, plus the other fish mentioned.
Kelly Turp and her party fished on Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Manuel and came back to the office with 10 Yellowfin tuna. They had a great time out there and decided to take the fish back to get it cooked up.

Inshore bite is slamming, Yellowfin Tuna offshore
The inshore bite has been super hot the last week or so in Cabo with some nice Roosterfish, Sierra, Amberjack, Bonita and some real nice Yellowtail slamming the shorelines. Yo-Yo's, Live bait, Hoochies, and Rapala's have been the main bait of choice for most species and the fishing has been on the Pacific side from the Lighthouse to Migrino.
The offshore bite has been a little slower, but still bringing in a few Marlin and some nice Yellowfin the last few days. The football size Yellowfin have been replaced by some nice 25-40lb Tuna with schools being found 15-20 miles straight off the point.
Dennis Larimer fished on TantRum the other day and after catching his fair share of Sierra, they headed out to look for Marlin. Ramon and Juan saw a few fish, but couldn't entice a bite.
Jeff Snyder and his group are down on a Play and Stay Package and they had a great day yesterday. After inshore fishing for a few hours and catching around 20 Sierra, they headed about 18 miles offshore and found a huge school of Porpoise. The Porpoise were sharing bait with some nice Yellowfin Tuna and the Snyder's caught 4 fish between 25 and 30lbs.
Kristina Martinez and her friends from Santa Fe, New Mexico joined Omar and Ramon on RedRum for a half-day of inshore fishing and they too had a great day. While they weren't happy about TCU leaving the Mountain West Conference, they were thrilled with 20 Sierra and 4 Roosterfish.
Larry and Jeanne Boone from Nashville, Tennessee joined the crew of Rum Runnin and they took the mixed bag award for the day. They caught a total of 15 Sierra, 1 Skipjack, 2 Amberjack, 6 Yellowtail and lost a Dorado. Great day on the water guys!
