Hello again!
Things are defintely getting better here in Cabo San Lucas. We are in a high 77F with very calm winds today. We had our 4 boats out Tantrum, Rum Runnin, RedBeam and Nuevo. Fishing was great! couple of Marlin, Yellowfin and Sierra was today's menu.
Aboard our 28' Tantrum was Tom Spina and Kathleen Buonarosa along with Captain Omar and Mate Juan. They started doing some inshore fishing for a while and then headed out for some more action. They reeled in 1 Marlin.
On our 32' Rum Runnin we had a shared party with Captain Javier and Mate Americo. It's funny because yesterday we had the Andre Hage and Cynthia Jenkins coming in to share a boat with someone, we didn't have anybody on our list and all of the sudden Frank Statile comes in looking to share a boat as well. They had a lot of things in common...it was a match made in Heaven! These guys went out 38 miles in the Pacific and came back with 13 Yellowfin. The biggest one was 160Lb! and was reeled in by Andre Hage! Good job to everyone on the boat!
On our 32' we had Captain Cesar and Mate Ramon fishing for half a day with Jeff Roper and his 5 buddies. They did inshore fishing and caught 10 Sierra. Very good guys!
On our 33' We had Gary Gonzalez and crew who are staying at the Portofino Condos and fishing with us for 2 more days on Nuevo along with Captain Alex and Mate Manuel. These guys came back with 8 Yellowfin and 1 Marlin. I knew they'd catch something!
Hopefully they will be able to surpass their own number in the next couple of days!
Yellowfin and Marlin are back and biting well! So folks, come on down to Cabo San Lucas and fish with us, we can't guarantee you'll catch something, but we can guarantee you'll have an awesome time!

Fantabulous Friday!
Hey Guys,
Hope everybody is having a good Saturday and you're not too wasted from partying out last night! Things are great here at RedRum, we had plenty of satisfied customers yesterday, got some new pics posted on Facebook, more pictures came in today and they have been added as well, weather is nice around 75F and most importantly plenty of fish out in the water!
Yesterday we had 6 boats out: RumRunnin, RedBeam, Nuevo, Anzuelo, Ziggy and a Panga and they all caught, reeled in , kept/released something! March has been very good, unlike the last couple of weeks in February when it was very slow.
Ya'll are helping me out with my fish report dudes and dudettes so keep fishing with us, keep reeling those fishies in and we will keep pushing the button to make them come out from where ever they are ;)
On with the Report.
We had Kurt Solomon and his guys fishing aboard our 33' El Nuevo. Kurt was anxious and ready to head out to the Pacific but his crew was still at the store around the corner getting some breakfast...just imagine the look on his face! It was like they were getting homemade muffins baked with strawberries on the side or something cause they took 4 EVER! LOL.
Kurt was like: " I told them we had to be here at 6:20 and by that time they still weren't ready" the good thing is they had plenty of time left. After these guys finished up with their early meal, they headed out and had a lucky day by reeling in 6 Yellowfin, 2 Rooster and 10 Sierra. Cool dudes! thanks for fishing with us. Come back again.
It seems Tuna is coming back...keep your fingers crossed!
On the 28' Anzuleo we had Matt Calamari and Josh Bower, who will definitely come back again to fish with us after a great day out in the ocean, catching 5 Rooster. Great guys, hope to see you soon.
On RumRunnin we had Teresa and Jesse Hunrud along with Marc Smith and Britemery who after 8 hours fishing came back to the office simply to thank us for the awesome day and to take Captain Omar and Mate Americo out for some drinks...John Donovan tagged along shortly after!
These guys came back with 12 Sierra, 4 Rooster and 7 Squids. They took pictures so we should be expecting them real soon! Keep on Rockin'.
On RedBeam we had Derek Poshuta along with teens Kelsey, Adam and Nic who after almost postponing their fishing trip for another date, came back happy they didn't as they got to reel in 10 Sierra, 3 Yellowfin, 1 Hammer head, 1 Mako and 1 Dorado! like I told Derek..."Told you I'd push the magic button!" He said he's coming back in October. See you then buddy!
Out on the Panga we had Tom Plummer and grandson Austin Bush who came back with 12 Sierra. Unfortunately it was Tom's last day fishing as he is heading back to the U.S on Monday, we'll see you next year buddy! Thanks for all those days you came fishing with us.
And last but not least we had William Bunch and Sons who went out fishing on El Nuevo and had a great day after upgrading to the 33' from our 28 ' Tantrum. These folks caught and released a Marlin. They have been out there but just weren't biting, so these guys were the lucky ones!

3 day Fishing Report.
Hey everybody,
Sorry for not posting anything up since Tuesday. Ryan and Brooke are enjoying a well deserved trip to Puerto Vallarta, hope they are having a blast down there they will be back in the office next week.
On March 9th we had 3 boats out: Rum Runnin, Tantrum and RedBeam.
On Rum Runnin we had the Badger party of 5 and after a full day trip with RedRum, they came back with 1 Dorado and 4 Squids.
Squids have been biting very well these last fee days, so you'll be seeing high numbers on these babies!
Aboard Tantrum were Kris and Heather Scott who went out for half a day trip and came back a bit earlier than expected because of sea sickness. These folks were able to reel in a Hammer head though! good job!
On RedBeam we had Mark Schultz for a full day charter and coming back with 2 Stiped Marlin, 1 Hammerhead Shark and 1 Squid. Good action while catching the Marlin.
On March 10th we had 3 Boats out: Rum Runnin', RedBeam and our 33' Nuevo
Friends from Alaska, Daryl Vaughn and crew, fished aboard Rum Runnin' and after a full day fishing were very happy! They had a blast reeling in 4 squids. Glad to see happy customers!
Aboard Nuevo was Mike Caruso and 3 friends who ended their fishing trip with 1 Dorado and 1 Squid.
Yesterday was a good day for Sierra...as it has been for the last few weeks.
Aboard our 28' was the Birthday Man Alan Hagen and lady Kelly who showed up in the office feeling a bit sick...(can't blame them with this wacky weather!) but still what a better way to celebrate a birthday than to go fishing and reeling in 15 Sierra, 2 Roosterfish and 2 Squids. These guys had a blast and I am sure they had one hell of a good time last night celebrating with a birthday dinner...Happy Birthday Alan!
For a half day Charter we had Peter Near who came back at 11:30 AM with 40 SIerra, 5 REooster, 5 Squid and 1 Bonita!!! This was just crazy!!! These guys had a blast and were gonna continue on partying on a Booze Cruise...Hey can I tag along? Thanks guys for the fish you have us and we hope to see you soon.

Overcast Sunday, but no rain...
It has been overcast all day today, but not nearly the rainfest we had yesterday. I know it is a bummer for folks that came on vacation to get out of the rain and snow, but we could really use the rain down here. The sun has been trying to burn off the clouds all day and the rest of the week is supposed to be beautiful, so no worries that way.
As for the fishing, things stayed strong today with the two groups that were out on the water.
Kevin and Penny Neiberger along with friends Robin and Robert Engen joined Captain Ramon and his Mate, Juan for a day aboard TantRum. As has been the case lately, the guys started out fishing inshore and were able to get a handful of Sierra first thing in the morning. Once they got offshore, they immeadiately raised a Marlin and had it right next to the side of the boat, playing around with the bait, but never really taking it. The crew worked hard to get a bite on several other fish, but in the end they had to settle for the Sierra.
Elene and Brad Hess shared Rum Runnin today with Todd Strawn and Kevin Cooper. These folks were all on our share board and we were able to hook them up with each other and they had a great day on the water. Captain Javier and his Mate Americo found the fish today, catching and releasing 2 nice Striped Marlin. They also got into a few sharks, catching and releasing a juvenile Mako and a juvenile Hammerhead!! It is always cool to see those Hammerheads come up behind the back of the boat (when we aren't swimming behind the boat that is.) Glad you guys had a killer day!

Raining in Cabo!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! NO TSUNAMI ALERTS TODAY!!!
We had a good Saturday even though it has been raining all day long! it's not normal for this time of year to have showers here in cabo, and it doesn't seem to be going away any time soon but still it was good, we can't complain.
Tomorrow we are expecting 10% chance of rain again....but by Tuesday Hello Sunny 80F!
Today was actually pretty good for fishing. We had 2 boats out Tantrum and Nuevo
On Nuevo we had Rich Belli and his crew who after fishing by the 95 bank, the light house and close to San Jose del Cabo caught and released 2 Stripped Marlin and 8 Sierra! Way to go dudes! I don't have the information on the size of the Marlin sorry, I will post it tomorrow though!
On their second and last day fishing we had Tom Kayheart and friends aboard Tantrum who came back with a total of 25 Sierra. Nice, they doubled the amount from Yesterday and they also caught some squids while trolling back into the marina.
These guys came back to the office asking when they would need to call to book a boat for October! That what we like...Happy Customers. Keep spreading the word people!

Happy Friday!
Happy Friday everyone!
First Friday of the month and it seems we started off pretty good this week, like I've been sayin...not great but good enough, at least all of our buds have not gone home empty handed.
And once again, it seems as if Sierra's in da house! or Spanish Mackerol as most of you know this fish by. I thought Marlin was going to be a good biter like last year, as I've been hearing a lot of stories of how great Marlin was biting this time of year in '09. Every year is different maybe this time they just decided to chill-ax!
So on to Today's Fishing Report:
We had 2 boats out by the lighthouse the first one was Tom Kayheart and his buds David, Jesse and Rob who are staying at the Portofino Condos BTW and will be fishing with us again tomorrow. These guys came back with 12 Sierras. Not bad on their first day fishing, they were aiming a bit more for Yellowfin but weren't too lucky. Hopefully tomorrow they'll catch some!
FYI we got a heads-up that Yellowfin was biting out by the Jaime Bank, so that's where these guys will be taken tomorrow!
On our famous 32' Rum Runnin we had Austin Ramirez, Peter, Randall and Ryan fishing for half a day. These guys came back loaded! They caught 17 Sierra, 3 Roosterfish and 12 squids....DOING....first time I've heard of squids being caught since I've been working here.
These guys had to cut their half day trip a bit short cause reeling in all those little guys got them a bit exhausted. I'd recommend them to drink some tequilas later tonight!
I have been asked if Rooster fish is any good and if there are any special recipes for this fish? I really don't know, so if ya'll know any good recipes, hit me back with them so I can share them with all our friends!

Windy, Cloudy Thursday
Hey guys
Hope ya'll are doing ok!, not much to report today. We only had 1 boat out with our buddies Sean Goldman and Brad Morley. These guys were out on our 28' Tantrum and reeled in 17 Sierras.
Fishing once again has been slow, but we hope that it will be picking up any time soon! So be patient peeps! By tomorrow I wish to write a good good fish report. We will have 2 boats out and 8 people, so keeping my fingers crossed and one of these guys ends up reeling something good!
