March 28th Fish Report

A Happy Birthday goes out to Donny McWhiter from California. On his 19th Birthday he headed out on Tantrum with Americo and Ramon. He hooked into a nice 102" Stripe Marlin. The fight took well over 45 minutes he said and that he was "already feeling sore". Being an athlete and about to take his football carrer to the NCAA level you think a fish wouldn't be able to slow this kid down!! I wonder how his arms are feeling today. Best of Luck next year Donny.

Our group from Fort Worth, TX headed out on RedBeam with Rene and Juan for the day. With high winds that blew in from the North some larger than normal swells followed. They were able to find a school of Porpoise and tear up the Yellowfin Tuna for about half-an-hour before having Rene head back in. They had a great time and a fabulous fresh fish dinner at Misiones de Kino later that night!

Helen Tierney from New York headed out with her family for their second day with Redrum. Her first day was not exactly what she expected when the manifold on Red Beam went out! She was understanding enough to give us another shot and we were able to get them out on Rum Runnin with Javier and Manuel. Javier knew of thier situation and wanted them to have a great day on the water. He stayed connected to Rene on RedBeam and was hitting on the same school of Tuna within minutes of finding the fish. After the kids had reeled in about 5 Yellowfin, Manuel spotted a Stripe Marlin. A live bait was pitched and within seconds a 99" Stripe Marlin was hooked to the end of the line! The fish put up a heck of a fight but was no match for the Tierney Family! Great Job Guys and thanks for being so understanding.

Larry Powell headed out the hottest captain in town. Omar who was the captain that caught the Swordfish a few days ago has been walking around, chest out, head high for the past couple of days!! Jesus spotted a Marlin about 3 hours into their charter and the show was on from there. Bait pitched, boat back down, rod bending, hook set! Just like clock work the boys got to work and landed that Stripe! Mr. Powell was in the seat and after several minutes the fish was brought up to the boat for pictures.
