Awesome Sunday in Cabo today... Weather is amazing right now. Starting to warm up but not crazy hot. No need for the sweatshirt in the morning anymore. Bright and sunny and folks are going fishing, what could be better.
First off the docks were Merle and Mary Stubbs. We won't talk about their favorite college football team, but other than that, good people and we were very happy to have met them. They joined Juan and Ramon on TantRum today and had a good day chasing billfish near the 1150 bank. After several presentations to several fish, they hooked up and caught a very nice Striped Marlin. Congrats on your first Marlin Merle!
Ray Young and his fine crew from Belfast, Maine were back at it again today with Javier and Americo. They headed about 10-15 miles straight out from Cabo and found some frigate birds working some bait. They were all over it, catching two really nice Mahi Mahi that will be an excellent pairing with some of Ray's famous Belfast, Maine Lobsters. If you ever have the itch for a nice New England Lobster Dinner, Ray and his family can send you live or pre-cooked Lobster overnight via Fed-ex. Just google Ray Young's Lobster Farm and go from there.
Finally, we had Scott Trainor, Ivy Rodgers and John Baumgartner who found out about us from some clients at the Riu. This trio wasn't sure they wanted to get up at the crack of dawn so they joined us for a half-day starting at 10am and unfortunatey missed the morning bite. They still had a great day on the water with lots of action and sea life.
