Today was another beautiful day in Cabo, weather was in the low 90's and water temps are still in the low 80's with some 70 degree water on the Pacific side. Bait is still tough to come by, but we have been pro-active. We just ordered another 50 kilo's, about 110 pounds of Ballyhoo from Mazatlan and it should be here Monday. The Dorado and Marlin have been all over the Ballyhoo, maybe it is because they are not used to seeing it around here. I don't care why, just glad they are eating!
The Reid family from Canada (Lorne, Rob, Rodney, Clayton, Keaton and Gordon) joined us aboard Pescado III today for a great day on the water. The headed north into the Sea of Cortez and found a nice school of Porpoise that was holding Tuna, and Dorado. Everyone got multiple fish as they finished the day with 6 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Dorado. They were super happy with the boat and crew and loved everything about their first experience, offshore fishing in Cabo.
Brad Williams and his buddies from Jacksonville, Florida joined us aboard TantRum and El Nuevo RedRum today. The guys flipped a coin to see who got the 33' and who got the 28'. We'll they may have lost the coin flip, but they won in terms of fishing with TantRum catching and releasing a nice Blue Marlin. El Nuevo had 3 Marlin hook-ups but couldn't get any to the boat.
Kevin Kadowaki, and his crew from Santa Barbara, California are down for 3 days of fishing and today they headed out on RedRum, our new 31' Bertram. They had a great first day of action with 1 Striped Marlin and 3 Dorado. They also lost a nice Wahoo, but that can happen.
