Fishing has been red hot for all our anglers this month and the streak continues. Dorado and Yellowfin have still been around in great numbers and we are starting to see some awesome Striped Marlin up at Golden Gate. Feeders and Tailers everywhere!
Jason and Clayton Bourne, down with a big wedding party took out three boats today. Ramon and Juan on TantRum were able to hook into 1 Marlin, 3 Yellowfin and 1 Dorado, Alex and Manuel on El Nuevo were able to hook into 1 Marlin and 7 Dorado, and Omar and Americo were the unlucky ones, with several Marlin strikes but only 1 Dorado on the day. Of course, as things played out, the Bourne brothers were with Omar and Americo. They spend all the time getting the boats booked and herding everyone down here and they were only rewarded with one little Dorado. That being said, they were stoked all their friends did well.
Craig and Amanda came in late on Friday afternoon and unfortunately, all our boats were booked up. We got them out with Luis on Cabo Chica though and they had a blast with Dorado but what Craig really wanted was for Amanda to hook her first Marlin. It took a few hours, but mission accomplished! Congrats!
Cody Lavelett and Mike Kiser were back at it again for their second day on the water and the ladies, Tonya and Joy went along as well. They fished with Captain Javier and his mate, Jesus. They got into a nice school of Tuna and the fish were hungry. They ended the day with 7 Yellowfin and a Marlin as well.
The Thornton's were back at it again today aboard ReelRum with Edgar and Omar. They had another great day bringing in 2 Striped Marlin and 2 Dorado.
Our good friends Kaye Lynn and her folks and nephew from Atlanta, decided on another day on the water today and they wanted to go out and search for Tuna. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, it's not called catching, it's called fishing. They never could find a school that wanted to eat. They have one more day on Monday and I am sure they will succeed.
