Two charters today, ReelRum and RumRunnin. Water and weather in Cabo were nice and warm. Fish are still very close to the Marina, only a mile or so outside towards the Sea of Cortez.
Javier and Manuel, aboard Rum Runnin, had guests Wayne and Sandra Bordner today. Having fished in Cabo before they claimed to be all set with catching Marlin and they wanted something to bring home and put on the grill. Javier and Manuel had seen quite a few Dorado in the past few days, so they decided to slow troll some live bait Caballito's to try to entice a strike. As luck would have it, their first strike was a Marlin. After catching and releasing the Marlin, they were able to bring in 3 nice Dorado and will be enjoying their catch at our favorite restaurant, Missiones De Kino. The Bordners had so much fun today, they will be back Wednesday to try to re-enact the success of today.
Jerry and Krista Branum fished with Omar and Americo today aboard ReelRum. I was shocked to see ReelRum come back to the Marina early, around 11:30am. My first thought was that someone might have been seasick, which would be odd seeing how the waters have been very calm lately. After talking with the boys, they said they had a few strikes but weren't having much luck and the Branum's decided that today was not their day. Hopefully tomorrow the fish will be a little more cooperative.
Boats are full for the rest of the week, still some availability towards the end of the month, great airfare and hotel accomodations can be found all over the web. Come down and see us and take advantage of the great fishing.
