Jerry and Kristi Branum were back for day two of their adventure and after giving Jerry some sea sickness medicine he had a much better day on the water. The caught a beautiful Marlin which they had mounted to proudly display back home in Arp, Texas. Nice meeting you guys and send in some pics so we can get them on the website. Look forward to seeing you guys again soon, maybe next time at our condos through the Play and Stay Package.
Alan and Ron, two buddies from Kentucky had an interesting day on the water with Javier and Manuel today. The guys got lucky right of the start and hooked into a nice Marlin which Ron successfully caught and released. Next up was a small school of Tuna, and they were able to take 4 good size fish (which they thought they would be enjoying for dinner.) Upon returning to the Marina, they were stopped by the authorities who wanted to know why we hadn't brought the fish to the cleaning station. Javier, kindly told them that the fish were caught in the morning and would have gone bad if we had waited until the end of the day before we cleaned them. The whole story sounded fishy, seems like the "authorities" may have wanted some Tuna for themselves. This is the first time in over two years that they have boarded any boats, checking for limits or cleaned fish. Personally, I would much rather see these guys spending their time (and stealing fish) from folks that went over their limit everyday. Nonetheless, we sent Alan, Ron and their spouses for a nice dinner at Misiones de Kino on our dime to make up for the problem and they came back today to let me know how much they appreciated it. Sometimes there isn't much we can do about the occasional rougue ambush from the authorities.
Phil Cammarano along with his wife and daughter, Barbara and Emily had a great day on the RedBeam with Marshall. They caught 3 nice sized Dorado's.
David Daray, along with the Hoffman brother clan made up of Frank, Greg and Mark had a great day as well. These guys fished El Nuevo with Alex and Ramon and were able to catch and release two nice Striped Marlin and one monster 60+ lb Dorado that they enjoyed for dinner.
