Tunerfic Tuesday

While we did catch a few Yellowfin today, it was Tunerific because our Yellowfin replica mount of the winning fish from the Western Outdoor News Tuna Jackpot arrived today. The box was 10 feet long and 5 feet tall, and somehow made it here in one piece. The fish is absolutely gorgeous and I would like the thank the guys at Global Fish Mounts (http://globalfishmounts.com/) for hooking us up. It is hanging up above our desk here in the office. I will get a pic of it on the blog tomorrow.

Now for the important stuff. Great fishing today, all the boys had great days on the water...and a few girls too.

Charles Ebel, along with David and Sandy Englehart fished today with Omar and Americo on ReelRum. The folks had a great day on the water and while they were too pooped to come into the office after their day on the water, Mr. Ebel was nice enough to call to let me know that the crew had done a great job today. He made a point to let me know that the guys would not give up when they weren't getting bites. They landed a nice Dorado, but couldn't get a Marlin to bite. After throwing bait to a ton of fish, the boys went into their bag of tricks and pulled out the Kite Fishing Rig. After deploying the kite and bait, it wasn't long before they had a hook-up. A monster Striped Marlin was caught and released, but not before getting some measurements. 111" fish, truly spectacular.

Roger Huffman along with his good buddies, Mike Shafer, Kendall Karr and Brett Gardner had a phenominal day with Javier and Manuel. 2 Marlin caught and released, 2 nice Yellowfin Tuna, and 2 Dorado (one whopper) was the final tally. The only problem with a day like today for these guys, they have two more days of fishing. Not sure how we are going to match that tomorrow. As always, we'll try.

Finally, the ladies from Louisianna. Kim, Blair, Nalani, Carolyn, Rachel and Susie headed out on El Nuevo RedRum today with Ramon and Muneca. After arriving yesterday, 3 of the ladies headed out to sample the local flavors at various watering holes, the other 3 stayed back and enjoyed the comforts of the condos at Portofino (part of our Play and Stay Package.) Well, I wouldn't have guessed it, but the 3 ladies that stayed home got sick on the boat today and the 3 ladies that went out on the town felt fine. The girls had a blast bringing in a couple of really nice Dorado, a Yellowfin Tuna, and big Striped Marlin. They will be enjoying dinner at Misiones de Kino tonight, I can guarantee that.

Hasta Manana!
Ryan
