Mondays are a mess

Mondays are a mess and faithful readers of this blog/fishing report know that more often than not, I struggle to get a fish report up Monday afternoon. So without further ado, here is the report for Monday, June 22nd. Winds picked up a bit today with a Tropical Storm, Andres, looming a few hundred miles south of us. Luckily for us and our anglers, the fish didn't seem to notice.

Ben Scriber and his buddies headed out on El Nuevo with Alex and Ramon and had a good day. While Katie did all she could to keep from chumming, Ben, Stepen, and Louis had their hands full with 2 big catch and release Striped Marlin.

Cody Loverin and Kate Bell (TCU 04') headed out with Omar and Americo on ReelRum. We were glad to have some former Frogs fishing with us, and wished them the best before they left. Kate didn't take to the Sea of Cortez as well as she would have liked and needed to come back early, but not before Cody reeled in a whopper of a Dorado. The big bull was in the 55-60lb class and Cody couldn't resist getting a replica mount made of the trophy. After Kate made her retreat to the friendly confines of the resort, Cody headed back out in search of a Marlin. While they saw a few fish and tried to pitch bait to them, a Yellowfin Tuna was all they could manage.

Pamela Bell called a few weeks back and told me I needed to get her son hooked up on a charter and hooked up with some fish as a graduation gift. No problem there. Arnold and Karl Bell, along with Josh Neblock and Bob Rike headed out with Javier and had a great day. When it was said and done, the guys were able to bring in 4 real nice Dorado, two in the 50lb class.

Finally, Wes Watkins along with his Wife Doris, their sons Tom and Brian and their kids, Ally and Tyler headed out with Marshall on the RedBeam. They weren't able to get Tyler, their grandson to reel in one of the big Dorado they caught, but rumor is he gave a Sierra hell at the end of the trip. They ended up with 3 Dorado and a Yellowfin to take home.

Buen dia!
