Today was a beautiful day, as April usually is here in Cabo. A slight breeze picked up in the afternoon, but nothing too crazy. The guys fished the Pacific, water temps were in the high 70's and they pulled spreader bars, plastic artificials and live bait Caballito.
Steve Davies and Rod Schick were out for their 4th and final day on the water with us today with Javier on Rum Runnin'. Steve has fished with us many times in the past and always had great success, but this trip the fish definitely won the battle. They pitched bait to several Marlin and even a Dorado, but just couldn't get the fish to bite. Steve said he would be back later this year and Rod is coming back in July. They told me that Javier did everything he could, they just chalked it up to fishing. Fellas, we really appreciate your business and understanding that sometimes, even in Cabo San Lucas, it really is FISHING and not CATCHING. It is clients like y'all that make this the best job in the world.
On TantRum today we had the mysterious, Robert and Kelly Lee. The recently married duo sent a request to fish under one name and a deposit under Kelly's maiden name. They had Nick and I confused like a beast in the office for a week or so. Anyway, once we realized that Finkle was Einhorn, we got everything set up for them to have a great day on the water. They started off inshore and had a blast catching 5 or 6 Sierra before heading offshore and catching a nice 104" Striped Marlin. Congrats on the great day guys and come back and see us soon.
