Hunter Carmouche: The Marlin Tamer!

Hi again,

Today's fishing was up and down again. It's rough out there and everybody said that the guys did their best, but fish decided not to bite. We did have 2 successful stories though, one of them includes a 17 yr old buddy who reeled in his first striped marlin. I will give details further ahead.

The marina has been very lonely today, not much action or activity going on, but hopefully it will start picking up by tomorrow. I am guessing it's because many people decided not to travel for this memorial day weekend???? who knows.

Any how, Our first group includes a party of 6 aboard Rum Runnin with Captain Javier and mate Americo. This was Shelby Posner, Ernest, Hunter, William, Harry, Andrew and Matt. These guys started off with some offshore fishing on the pacific side but decided to stick to doing some inshore fishing because someone on board got a bit seasick. But this did not stop the guys from continuing their search for big fish and by the end of their trip they came back with a 25 Lb. Yellowfin. Not too bad, considering the waves, winds and all! They decided to bring the fish back with them and get it cooked up later tonight and have a nice "cena" (dinner) Thank you guys for coming!

Our second group is the Carmouche Party. and the words that pop into my head when I think of them are 2: Awesome gentlemen. I met them yesterday while I was checking them into the Portofino Condo. They are all very down to earth and very nice guys. and today was a lucky day as they came back with Yellowfin and a 150 Lb. Marlin. But this Marlin has a story behind it....You see, the Carmouche's were accompanied by Jimbo's 17 yr old son and Jim's oldest grandson Hunter.
This buddy reeled in the 150 Lb Marlin all on his own and it only took him 30 mins! Great going!
Jim Carmouche, Jimbo, Charlie, Pete and Friend Lloyd Fisher witnessed Hunter catch the 150 Lb Striped Marlin all on his own and his very first!
Too bad they didn't do the old bucket trick! hunter, you have no idea how hard it is to reel in a bucket! That's what the guys did to me when I first worked here. You can say my Cherry was popped in the ocean! LOL
Anyhow, these guuys had a great time today and they are really looking forward to do this again on Tuesday!.

Let's see how they do then!

Thanks for reading!
