Donna, Kurt, Lizabeth, Andrew, April and Matthew from Louisiana went out for their first of two days fishing this week on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Americo. They caught and released two fifteen pound Dorado fishing Los Arcos and caught and released a hundred and twenty pound Striped Marlin fishing the Lighthouse on the Pacific, two to three miles from shore.
Christie and Mark from New Jersey went out on our 28’ Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan. They fished the Pacific side and caught and released a Sailfish and a Striped Marlin.

Slow Day but not emptyhanded
Gary, Thomas, John, Charles and Kenneth went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex. It was quiet out but they caught a fifteen pound Dorado that they had for lunch. They fished the Lighthouse about four miles from shore.
Dave went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Omar. They fished Los Arcos about five miles from shore and caught and released a hundred and twenty pound Sailfish. Water was at seventy eight degrees.

Bills Today
Jim, John, Beth and Barbara went out on our 32' RumRunnin with Captain Javier. They fished the Lighthouse on the Pacific side, two to three miles from shore and caught a hundred and fifty pound Striped Marlin.
Ross and wife Susie from Houston, Texas went out on our 28' Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan. They fished on the sea of Cortez, five miles from shore and caught and released a hundred and ninety pound Striped Marlin.

Great Day!
Rick, Brett, Nina and Shawn from California went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Cesar. They fished the Lighthouse less than a mile from shore and caught 2 Dorado.

They fished San Jaime on the Pacific side, seventeen miles from shore and caught 6 Tuna weighing between fifteen and twenty pounds and caught and released a hundred and forty pound Striped Marlin.

They fished Margarita on the Pacific side, six miles from shore and caught 5 Dorado between fifteen and twenty five pounds and caught and released a hundred and twenty pound Sailfish and 2 Striped Marlin around a hundred and twenty five pounds. Harold loved fishing this week with Javier and told us “That’s my Captain from now on. All your guys are great but whichever boat Javier and Americo are on, I want to fish on that boat. They worked their butts off”.

Feliz Thanksgiving!!!
HAPPY Thanksgiving, especially to all of our faithful readers checking in on our report even today!
Keith and his kids Alexandria, Evan and Molly went out for the second time this week on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Manuel. They caught at least 10 Dorado weighing between twenty five and thirty pounds and caught and released a hundred and forty pound Striped Marlin. They had just passed the lighthouse nearing the pacific when they landed a major quadruple hook-up. They reeled so many in that they lost count! They fished Golden Gate on the Pacific side, two to three miles from shore.
Joe and kids went out on our 28’ partner boat with Captain Salvador. They came in on the Holland America and spent a few hours fishing and catching Marlin. They caught two Striped Marlin weighing around a hundred and forty pounds and released one of them.
Brooks, Kase and Jill from Montgomery, Texas went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier. They fished a half day out by point 95 on the sea of Cortez and caught and released a hundred pound Sailfish.
Michael, Carl and Chas went out on our 32’ RedBeam and caught and released 2 Striped Marlin with Captain Cesar.

Another Good Day
Mike and Karen from Spicewood, TX fished today with Captain Javier and Mate Marcial on our 32’ RumRunnin. They want to give a shout out to their friends David and Patty: “We wish you were here. We caught 10 Dorado between fifteen and twenty five pounds and unfortunately lost a Striped Marlin….oooops, sad”. They fished San Cristobal on the Pacific side, thirteen miles from the Marina and three miles from shore.
Sandy and Joe from Mountlake Terrace, WA fished on our 28’ Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Manuel. They fished Margarita on the Pacific side, fifteen miles from the Cabo Marina and a mile or two from shore where water temperature was at eighty degrees. They caught 6 Dorado weighing between fifteen and thirty pounds and released two smaller ones.

They fished the Pacific side and caught and released a hundred and fifty pound Striped Marlin, which Bruce caught, as well as a Sailfish caught by Allison. Chris, Cathy, Jay and Vicky fished with Captain Federico and Mate Wenses on our 33’ partner boat. They went Tuna hunting on the sea of Cortez about sixteen miles from shore, close to neighboring San Jose del Cabo. They didn’t catch any Tuna but they ran into, fought, caught and released a hundred and fifty pound Striped Marlin. They also caught two Dorado between ten and fifteen pounds which they released.

Sail and Dorado
Pam, Alan, Lisa and Bobby went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Marcial. They fished Posocota, seventeen miles from the Marina and caught 12 Dorado weighing up to twenty pounds and released four.
Ivo and Anne from Ontario, Canada went out on a Panga with Captain Abel and caught 2 Dorado.
Lonnie, Angela, Mike and Stephanie from San Diego, CA and Tucson, AZ went out on our 28’ Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan. They fished Golden Gate, six miles from shore and caught 16 Dorado, of which they released five. They would like to give a shout out to Brian and Patty back home.
The Coulter group went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Cesar and Mate Lupe. They fished the Lighthouse and caught 21 Dorado weighing between twenty and twenty five pounds.

Tournament Weekend!!!
For the last three years we’ve been hosting the Trip Advisor fishing tournament. Basically a bunch of guys and ladies come down to do some hardcore fishing and drink some ice-cold beer. They’re also charitable types. These anglers believe in giving back to the communities where they fish. On Saturday, roughly twenty five kids sponsored by the Grupo de Apoyo Ray Thomas came down to our office to watch as our boats came back with their catch and to meet the anglers that have been supporting them. We took the kids on a boat ride and gave them some of the catch of the day to take home to share with their families. Grupo de Apoyo Ray Thomas provides opportunities for kids to get involved in sports camps after school and also runs a free lunch program.
On Sunday the anglers had to deal with on and off rain throughout the day but it just added character to their adventures.

8 Boats Fishing Today
Joey and his wife Ashley from New Iberia, Louisiana went out on our 32’ partner boat for the first for three days fishing. Captain Federico took the couple fishing at Los Arcos as well as the Lighthouse on the Pacific side, two miles from shore. Joey caught and released a hundred and twenty pound Striped Marlin using living bait. Ashley caught the second largest of 9 Dorado, weighing thirty pounds. Joey caught the fifty pound bull Dorado. They were trying to bait another Marlin when the bull came in and ate the bait. Two of the smaller Dorado’s were released and the rest were donated to the crew.
Gerald, Todd, Patty and Margaret from Corona, California went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Americo. They had been to Cabo before but had only fished on Pangas in San Jose and decided to give deep sea fishing a try. Patty caught and released her first Striped Marlin ever using live bait and weighing a hundred and forty five pounds. Todd used live bait to catch and release a hundred and fifty pound Sailfish. They all shared in the catching of 21 Dorado weighing in between fifteen and thirty pounds, 10 of which were released. They had a double hook-up a few times during the Dorado fights. The group fished twenty miles out on the Pacific side just a mile from shore.

Johnny stole the show with a battle of an 800lbs Otto”. They fished the Lighthouse on the Pacific side a mile and a half from shore where water temperature was at eighty four degrees. Honeymoon and Anniversaries
Brian Watts is getting married and the wedding party plus a few go fishing. They rented our 32’ RedBeam, 32’ RumRunnin and our 33’ El Nuevo and caught so much fish we’re not sure where we are going to put tomorrows fish as our freezer is getting pretty full.
The group that went out on our 33’ Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon fished the lighthouse point on the Pacific side, five miles form shore and caught 7 Dorado and 1 Striped Marlin. The Dorado weighed between 25-30 pounds and the Marlin that Brian caught and released weighed a hundred and sixty pounds.
Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian took the second group out on our 32’ RedBeam and fished between the lighthouse and Cerros de Arena a half mile from the shore. “The King”, father of the groom, caught a hundred and twenty five pound Striped Marlin. They also caught a 180 pounder which they released. They were looking for dinner when they stumbled on a triple hook-up Dorado. In total they caught 10 fifteen to twenty pound Dorado.
RumRunnin, another 32’ boat Captained by Javier and his Mate Manuel took the third group out to Los Arcos on the Pacific side and fished two miles from shore where water was at eighty five degrees. Danson caught a huge two hundred pound Striped Marlin which he released after a fight of an hour and forty five minutes. The group also caught 8 Dorado, three of which they released.
Newlyweds Sarah and Jason met Ryan Donovan, aka “Donny” on the plane to Cabo the other day. Ryan was in Texas celebrating football and remembering the college days. Go TCU! Anyways, they met on the plane and a friendship was formed. Ryan told them about the Cabo tradition of newlywed fishing and they came over to our office to get set-up for a charter. Since we have been booked for months we set them up on a nice 32’ partner boat that helped them catch 10 twenty pound Dorado by Los Arcos on the Pacific side. A good day fishing means this marriage is destined for bliss.
Joe and his wife Lu are in Cabo celebrating their 25th anniversary. They fished yesterday on our 28’ ReelRum and again today. Yesterday they caught and released 2 hundred and forty pound Marlin and 2 twenty to twenty five pound Dorado. Today they caught 2 forty pound Wahoo using feather lures, 9 twenty to thirty pound Dorado and Joe caught a hundred pound Sailfish which he released. They had a double hook-up on the Dorado and I have a feeling this marriage is gonna last at least another 25 years.

Danson caught a huge two hundred pound Striped Marlin which he released after a fight of an hour and forty five minutes. The group also caught 8 Dorado, three of which they released.
Newlyweds Sarah and Jason met Ryan Donovan, aka “Donny” on the plane to Cabo the other day. Ryan was in Texas celebrating football and remembering the college days. Go TCU! Anyways, they met on the plane and a friendship was formed. Ryan told them about the Cabo tradition of newlywed fishing and they came over to our office to get set-up for a charter. Since we have been booked for months we set them up on a nice 32’ partner boat that helped them catch 10 twenty pound Dorado by Los Arcos on the Pacific side. A good day fishing means this marriage is destined for bliss.
Joe and his wife Lu are in Cabo celebrating their 25th anniversary. They fished yesterday on our 28’ ReelRum and again today. Yesterday they caught and released 2 hundred and forty pound Marlin and 2 twenty to twenty five pound Dorado. Today they caught 2 forty pound Wahoo using feather lures, 9 twenty to thirty pound Dorado and Joe caught a hundred pound Sailfish which he released. They had a double hook-up on the Dorado and I have a feeling this marriage is gonna last at least another 25 years.

Big Tuna Wednesday
Chris, Andy, Lisa and Andrew from Boston, MA went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian. They fished the lighthouse point on the Pacific side and caught 2 twenty to twenty five pound Dorado and caught and released a sailfish just two miles from shore where the water temperature was at eighty six degrees.
Chris and Lisa Hang just got married. They decided to honeymoon in crazy Cabo San Locos and bring two other couples with them. They admitted to knowing nothing about fishing but showed tons of enthusiasm so I helped book them on a 32; partner boat. Though the ladies got sick and the boat had to come back, the boys went back out and caught 2 twenty five pound Dorado and caught and released 2 hundred and ten to hundred and twenty pound Striped Marlin. They fished the lighthouse.
Chris, Cory and Dick went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and mate Ramon. These guys are serious fishermen, partying hard and late every night and coming in early to kick butt three of their vacation days. Chris especially exhibited extraordinary enthusiasm from the moment he entered the office to the moment he left. Captain Alex asked if we had spiked the waters on the boat with RedBull. The enthusiasm paid off as Chris caught and released a hundred and forty pound Striped Marlin during a double hook-up with Cory fighting a second hundred and forty pound Marlin. Cory and Dick also had some luck with the Dorado, 2 of which they caught weighing about twenty five pounds. This was a trip that Chris, his brother and father had been planning for over a year and they were psyched with the way it ended. The father and sons team fished the lighthouse point on the pacific side just five miles from shore.

They fished the lighthouse two miles from shore where water temperature reached eighty seven degrees. Greg and John each caught and released a hundred pound Sailfish. Brian and Bubba each caught and released a hundred and thirty pound Striped Marlin. Greg caught the twenty pound Tuna for dinner and they all shared in catching 3 twenty pound Dorado as well. Besides that, it was just a good time they said.

Marlin and Dorado Day
Marco, Dave, Chad, Mike, John and Scott old friends from a while back came to Cabo to play like old times. They went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian and had a great time with their crew. They fished Los Arcos on the Pacific side just half a mile from shore and caught 4 fifteen pound Dorado, one of which was released and caught and released a hundred and twenty five pound Striped Marlin. They hooked two more Marlin they unfortunately got away.
Kevin, Amanda, Larry, Royce, Marsha and Kathleen went out for the second time this week on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. They fished Los Arcos sixteen miles from the Marina and two miles from shore. The group shared in the fight and catching of 8 ten to thirty pound Dorado. They also caught and released a hundred and eighty pound, eight and a half foot Striped Marlin. Larry caught that baby. The group fought a Wahoo and another Marlin but the lucky ones got away.
Nikki, Cindy and Dennis went out on our 32’ partner boat and caught and released 2 Marlin by the lighthouse. The Marlin weighed a hundred and the second, a hundred and fifty pounds. They also caught 7 Dorado by Los Arcos and released three of them.

The MacDonalds father and son came in on a cruise ship this morning and fished with Captain Salvador from our 28’ partner boat. They fished the Pacific and caught and released a hundred and thirty pound Striped Marlin using live bait. They also fished Cabeza de Ballena on the Cortez side and caught 4 Dorado that weighed up to thirty pounds.
Mark, Mike, Tracy and Aaron from San Diego, CA went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. They fished from the lighthouse point to Las Margaritas on the Pacific side and caught 9 Dorado weighing between twenty and thirty pounds, 3 of which were released.

Lots of Fish: Wahoo, Sails, Marlin, Dorado
Rex and friends went out on our 31’ partner boat with Captain Ulises. They fished Los Arcos just four miles from the shoreline where the water was at eighty four degrees. The three friends caught 9 Dorado weighing between thirty to forty pounds and a fifty pound Wahoo.
Chris, James and James senior went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Juan. They fished between Migri~no and Posocota on the Pacific side and caught a hundred pound Sailfish as well as 12 Dorado that weighed between twenty and thirty pounds. They were six miles from the shore where the water was at eighty four degrees.
Nicolas and Raphael from Canada went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. They fished Los Arcos where the water was at eighty four degrees and caught and released a hundred and sixty pound Marlin as well as 8 thirty pound Dorado.
Scott, Darren, Brian and Chris went out on our 28’ partner boat with Captain Lupe and Mate Salvador who the guys said “did a great job.” They fished Migri~no on the Pacific side just two miles from shore where the water was at eighty six degrees. Darren caught an eighty four inch Sailfish, Chris caught a fifty seven inch Wahoo and between the four of them they caught 8 Dorado, the largest weighing sixty pounds. They had a double hook-up twice on Dorado and Chris said it was like the “fast and the furious for about an hour”.
Nancy, David, Jayna, Judy and Joyce went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Americo and Mate Fabian. They fished on the Pacific side and caught 5 Dorado and 1 Wahoo. When asked how they were treated by the crew they answered that the guys “were awesome”.

Royce caught a seventy pound bull Dorado and Kathleen, Kevin’s mom, caught a fifteen pound Dorado.

The Bills are Back!!
Todd and Chris from Nederland and Port Neches, Texas went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. It was their first of two days fishing and they headed to the Pacific side and caught a Striped Marlin and 2 Dorado. Nice way to start the trip!
Daren, Randy, Melissa, Brenda and Jamie from Texas, Idaho and Calgary, Canada went out for the first of three trips this week, starting out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian. They fished the Pacific side by Los Arcos and caught 6 Dorado, one of which they released, as well as a 160lb Marlin.
Our good friends Joe and Karen and two of their friends went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Javier and Mate Americo. They also fished the Pacific side by San Jaime where water temperature was at 86 degrees. They caught and released a hundred pound Sailfish as well as a Marlin using live bait. They also caught 6 twenty five pound Tunas, some of which they’ll be dining on tonight as well as two other groups of anglers at our favorite restaurant in Cabo, Misiones de Kino. We’ll see Joe and Karen back soon for the big Tuna tournament in October!

Love and Fish
Some people look for their future husband or wife at the grocery store, others in bars like “El Squid Roe” while other’s like Monika and Jeff from San Diego go fishing. Almost fifteen years ago this couple came down to Cabo to fish with friends and they’ve been inseparable since. They have fond memories of Cabo not only because of their romance but because of the great fishing and today was no different. They headed out to Golden Gate on our 28’ ReelRum with captain Americo and mate Juan. Roughly ten miles from shore they hooked up to and caught 4 twenty pound Tuna and 4 twenty five to thirty pound Dorado. After their catch they came back in to let me know how their day went and you could tell from their faces that they had had a great time. When I asked how they were treated by their crew Jeff said: “I’ve been on boats where the crew was just hanging out but these guys were constantly working. They saw stuff that we couldn’t even see”.
Daniel, Jason, Buddy, Kim, Natasha and Kris went out for the second time this week, this time on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. Ben caught a big Tuna and tried to hook up to a Marlin but they wouldn’t bite. Jason caught onto a eight foot sailfish weighing about eighty pounds which will soon be mounted in his game room next to the Bass he catches on his lakes; tough life.
Mark, Travis, Darin, Melissa, Branwyn and Misty from Texas made it into the office a bit late this morning claiming time change confusion but once they were out on the open water the true reason for sleeping in came out. Fortunately they were in good company with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon on our 33’ El Nuevo. Before coming in this group did a great job at catching a hundred and twenty pound Tuna using a lure on the sea of Cortez about 5 miles from shore. It was a nice forty minute struggle that brought the entire group back to life and we will be seeing them for more action again on Monday.

Stuck on Fish

We're having a great week fishing and the temperature even seems to be stabilizing a bit though still quite warm. before we report on todays catch we wanted to catch you up on Tuesdays great fun.
Tuesday August 25th, 2009
Rich and JR went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. They fished Golden Gate and caught 12 Tuna and 8 Dorado.
Steve and his girlfriend Liza, good friends of Ryan Donovan’s are in town with family staying at the Portofino condos that we offer in our Play and Stay packages. They fished on our 28’ ReelRum at Golden Gate and caught 9 Dorado which they have been enjoying for lunch and dinners at our favorite restaurant in town, Misiones de Kino.
Our great friend Brian and his wife Viven went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. They were the first boat back after plenty of action out on the Pacific. The first fish they caught was a inshore fish we call Bonita which literally translates as “pretty” though I’m not sure that I would agree with the translation. After that warm up they got going really quick and caught 9 Dorado by 9am at one point having a triple hook-up. As if that weren’t enough, they caught and released 3 Sailfish and caught a Wahoo as well. Nice job Brian and Viven!!!

They immidietely bonded over their passion to fish and have been working together ever since. John hooking him and his friend at Deep Blue marine up with great fishing trips and Scott in turn getting us top quality fishing accessories. Scott and his group of ten other anglers went out on three of our boats today, our 28’ ReelRum, our 32’ RumRunnin and our 33’ El Nuevo. ReelRum was the first boat back with 7 twenty to twenty five pound Dorado’s that they caught by Golden Gate using lures. They released one back into the 83 degree ocean. The group that went out on RumRunnin caught 8 Dorado and released 2, also around twenty five pounds each. Laurie Golden caught and released a hundred and forty pound Sailfish on our 33’ El Nuevo and the rest of the group pitched in with a few more Dorado which they generously shared with the crew. Mid-Week Report
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AUGUST 18TH AND 19TH, 2009
Andrew and Leah from New York City went out two days in a row on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. On Tuesday they headed on the Pacific and caught 2 Dorado and caught and released 2 Sailfish. They returned to the Pacific on Wednesday, this time catching a 30 pound Dorado and 5 Tuna, two of which weighed 35 and 50 pounds, the others weighing twenty pounds. They caught this last batch ten miles outside Jimmy banks where the water was at 83 degrees.
Jimmy, Scott, Joey and Leslie went out yesterday on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. Out on the pacific side by Golden Gates they caught 8 Dorado and caught and released 2 Marlin. This group had so much fun they will be going out for a third time tomorrow!
Amber, Mackenzie, Wendy and James went out on our 33’ El Nuevo yesterday with Captain Alex and mate Ramon. They caught a Sailfish, a Marlin and 5 Dorado on the Pacific side and will be coming back on Friday for more.
Joe, Robert, David, Barbara, Irene and Alan went out for the second day this week on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. Alan and David each caught a 30 pound Dorado and Joe caught a nice hundred pound Sailfish. We’ll be seeing this group for a third time on Friday. They love us so much they left the office chanting “RedRum” this afternoon.
Phil, Wilma, Art, Mary, Michael and Earl from Texas, Oregon and California went out for their first day of two, starting off today on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. The boat had some trouble early in the day as boats sometimes do but they managed to reel in 6 Dorado anyways, the largest weighing thirty and forty five pounds.
The Naylor’s went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian, heading to Golden Gate on the Pacific. Yesterday they caught and released a Marlin and caught 2 Dorado with the same crew and today they brought back 7 Dorado, the largest weighing fifty pounds.
Andrew and Leah from New York City went out two days in a row on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. On Tuesday they headed on the Pacific and caught 2 Dorado and caught and released 2 Sailfish. They returned to the Pacific on Wednesday, this time catching a 30 pound Dorado and 5 Tuna, two of which weighed 35 and 50 pounds, the others weighing twenty pounds. They caught this last batch ten miles outside Jimmy banks where the water was at 83 degrees.

Lots of action on the water!
Childhood friends Jeff, Blake and Jason from Humble, Texas went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Omar and Americo. They went over to Golden Gate on the Pacific side and caught and released 3 Striped Marlin and lost one. The Marlin weighed in between a hundred and forty and a hundred and fifty pounds. They also caught 2 twenty five pound Dorado. The fight was had a mere three to four miles offshore.
Ed and Elizabeth and their children Nichael, Mark and Christine from Bothell, Washington went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial and Mate Fabian. They went out to the lighthouse about three miles offshore on the Pacific side and caught and released a hundred and forty pound Marlin and 3 twenty pound Dorado.

They also caught a small fifteen pound Dorado, all at Golden Gate on the Pacific side.
Michael, Elaine, Robert and Jessica from Florida went out on one of our partner boats and caught a hundred and thirty pound Striped marlin, a seventy pound Bull Dorado, 12 small Dorado and a couple Bonita.
It was a great day out on the water for RedRum!!!

Big enough to mount, beautiful enough to release
It seems to be the TCU fraternity brother reunion month because yet another one of R. Donovan’s friends came by to fish with us. Blake along with girlfriend Kelly went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo and caught 3 twenty to thirty pound Dorado. They met up with these beauties about twenty four miles offshore by Golden Gate on the Pacific side where water temperature reached eighty five degrees.
Daniel, Mike, Jake and Jake went out from New York and California went out on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial. They caught a Wahoo, 7 Dorado that weighed between ten to twenty pounds, five of which they released, and a seventy pound Sailfish which they also released. The fun happened on the Pacific side which has become quite the popular spot amongst our trophy fish.
Josh and friends from Houston, Texas went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Manuel and Mate Juan. They caught and released 2 sixty pound Sailfish using live bait and a hundred and twenty pound Striped Marlin using a lure. They also caught 6 ten to thirty pound Dorado, releasing one of them and keeping the rest for dinner. It all went down four miles offshore by the lighthouse.
Shane and friends from Houston, Texas found us through their local CCA chapter and are enjoying a four night stay at our Portofino condos. They’ll be fishing twice on this trip and went out today with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon on our 33’ El Nuevo. The guys did not come back empty handed. They caught a hundred and forty pound Striped Marlin two miles offshore on the Pacific side as well as 2 twenty five pound Dorado and 3 fifteen pound Tuna. That’s a lot of fish! Nice job guys, see you on Sunday!!!
