March 31st Fish Report

Redrum hosted a great group of anglers today! We were lucky enough to be part of the Hansen-McMillan wedding group that Redrum friend Kent Hansen brought down this past week. 20 of the now, McMillans closest friends and family came aboard the Redrum fleet today.

Each boat headed out with 4 anglers, filling El Nuevo, Rum Runnin, Red Beam, Reel Rum, and Tantrum.

Tantrum was the first boat back and Cesar had one heck of a day. It had been a few days that Cesar was unable to captain his boat due to fighting the flu. One day this past week his fever hit 102 degrees and if you know Cesar, you are going to hear about it from him all day/night! Cesar did not miss a beat though as him and Americo were able to catch and release 5 Stripe Marlin as well as 2 Yellowfin Tuna.

Alex took his 4 anglers and hooked them into 8 Yellowfin Tuna, 1 Dorado, and 1 Stripe Marlin. Looking towards the month of April, El Nuevo is going to be one of the busiest boats in the Marina. Alex and Jua are catching a lot of peoples' eyes down here with the way the have been fishing together since Juan came on board.

Red Beam continues to impress all of her anglers. Kent Hansen has been fishing with owner John Donovan for years now. He wanted to test out Red Beam and her crew. Both the crew and the boat passed Mr. Hansens standards, 11 Yellowfin Tuna and a Stripe Marlin. Not a bad day!!

Jesus captained ReelRum today as Omar took his day off today. These boys work 6 days out of the week and with the way it's been there has not been much down time. If they could fish 7 days out of the week they probably would! None the less, Jesus did a great job putting his group on 6 Yellowfin and 1 Dorado!

Rum Runnin was the last boat in today because a late Stripe Marlin hook up delayed their arrival just a little. The boys have been trolling high speed trolling lures on their way in and their way out of the Marina now a days. On the way in the lure slowed up a Marlin just enough to give Manuel a chance to pitch a live bait to it. As soon as the bait hit the water the fish was on it and running Manuel told me. They were able to get it to the boat for some quick photos before the realse. Javier and Manuel also caught 6 Yellowfin and a Dorado!

It was a pleasure working with you guys and we wish the best of luck to the new Mr. and Mrs. McMillan. We hope you had a great time and look foward to working with all of you again!

If anyone is interested in bringing a large group down to Cabo to fish please let me know. We organize trips for groups all the time and we think it is a great way to get together and spend a day in Cabo. You can reach me on my email at info@redrumcabo.com. If you mention that you read the fish report I will give you a good deal!!

Saludos,

Luis
