Where did everyone go?

Seems like everyone came down to Cabo before Labor Day and enjoyed the long weekend, but headed home late Monday. Only one boat went out today, Liz and Fred Smith from Tampa, Florida. Had a nice conversation with Liz and Fred before their charter and they mentioned how they never have any time for fishing back in Tampa. That's why you come on vacation right?

Heading towards the Golden Gate on the Pacific in mid 80's water with clear skies. All was going well on the way up to the bank, but when Omar spotted a school of Porpoise and Tuna and started the troll, Liz unfortunately started to feel ill. Liz hung in like a trooper, long enough for Fred to bring in a nice size Tuna, but after that it was time to head back to stable grounds of land.

Dramamine is always a good idea not only the morning of, but also the night before if anyone is ever worried about sea-sickness. Hopefully we'll see Liz and Fred back in Cabo soon and the seas will agree with everyone.

Labor Day Update!

Hola Hola, Happy Labor Day to all my readers in the States. Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend. While you were all at the Lake, tooling around with the Wakeboards, Jet Ski's and Bass Boats, RedRum clients were out catching fish! And lots of them.

The Father/Son team of Torrey and Loren Eltiste along with pal Mickey Streater had a slow day to start, but finished strong. Heading towards Golden Gate Bank on the Pacific with Alex and Ramon, the guys had a hard time getting a bite. Alex and Ramon kept on it though, staying out on the water longer than the normal 8 hours and it paid off with late hook-ups. The guys got into a small school of Tuna, where they got 3 nice size fish from the looks of the fillets and also manages a nice Dorado.

Ryan Pomroy and Erica Swartz of Alexandria, Virginia had a hell of a day on the water today. Heading out with Omar and Manuel on ReelRum, also towards the Golden Gate Banks, they got into the fish early and often. Omar had them on 4 Tuna before 9am, followed by 2 Dorado shortly thereafter. Later in the day came the Billfish, with 3 hook-ups which resulted in a catch and release Marlin, and a catch and release and mount of a nice Sailfish. Congrats guys, fabulous day on the water.
