Out of Control Over the Weekend...

... and no, I am not talking about my performance on the dance floor at my buddies wedding reception. Fishing was amazing over the weekend and RedRum clients came back with heaps of fish on Saturday and Sunday.

James Ansite was down from Long Beach, California and let's just say he will have a lot of happy friends and neighbors when he gets back to town today with all the fish he caught over the weekend. Saturday he fished with Captain Marshall on the RedBeam and was constantly hooked up with Yellowfin Tuna. Marshall found a huge school which they circled for a few hours catching more than his limit. Sunday was much of the same but more of a mixed bag for James' second trip. Along with Captain Manuel on Rum Runnin, James got hooked into a nice Striped Marlin, 2 big Dorado and 10 more Yellowfin Tuna. Awesome two days on the water James, I am sure your arms are tired today.

The Swanson bachelor party crew was also down for the weekend, as part of our Play and Stay package. On Saturday the guys split up onto two boats and totaled almost 20 Yellowfin Tuna and 5 Billfish (3 Sailfish and 2 Marlin.) On Sunday, the guys took out the 54' Missing Lenk and went after Dorado. I think there was more drinking than fishing going on, but the guys still had a great day. Congrats to the Bachelor, I hope your marriage is as successful as your Bachelor Party Fishing!

Eric Verwest and William Hannah were our final guests on Saturday and these guys had a ball catching tons of Yellowfin as well. While they released their fare share, they hooked up with 18-20 Tuna trolling feathers about 10 miles off the Lighthouse.

On Sunday, David Stanford and his wife joined Captain Ulyses for a great day on the water. They were back late, but their diligence paid off with 3 really nice sized Dorado, one was 62". David was even nice enough to let me swipe his credit card again after an error in the morning where we only charged him 84 pesos for the fishing trip, about 6 dollars. Now that's a deal.

Eric Lonadier joined Captain Omar and Mate Americo aboard ReelRum for a super successful day on the water. Eric brought in the Cabo Mixed Bag, with a Marlin, 2 Dorado and 4 Yellowfin Tuna.

Robert Naftel and his party of 4 had a great day on Sunday with Captain Marshall aboard the RedBeam. They too found the Yellowfin, catching 8 nice Tuna, and were also lucky enough to hook 3 Striped Marlin which they caught and released.

Sunday was also the 2nd of two days fishing for Donna Schorlemmer's Play and Stay group. While they caught enough Yellowfin on day 1 for a fabulous meal cooked by a local chef at their condo, day 2 was all about the Billfish. Donna told Captain Alex that they would need 5 Marlin that day since their were 5 people on the boat. After reaching the fishing grounds Alex and Ramon quickly hooked one, and then a short time later they got a second. Donna told Alex that she needed "Tres Mas!" to which he replied "No Problema!" And that it wasn't, a short time later Alex and Ramon hooked the first, then the second and finally the third Marlin for a triple hook-up! After an hour or so, with the Marlin going in 3 different directions, all three were caught and released. Mission accomplished, in style!

Awesome weekend for the RedRum crews and clients... Great time to be fishing Cabo!!!
