Anymore Big Tuna out there?

After the Joyce boys from San Diego brought in that Big Yellowfin yesterday, everyone was eager to see if they could match the feat.

Unfortunately, Matt Lovecchio and Kevin Grier from New York who fished with Ramon and Juan on TantRum didn't have much luck out there today. They hooked into two different Marlin, but couldn't get anything to the boat.

Chris Rowe and his wife Angie hosted good friends Elizabeth Parker and Larry Harvath on Marlin Too today. Chris has fished with us many times, but this trip was all about Elizabeth. A co-worker of Chris', she was tired of hearing about all the fish he caught when he came to Cabo so Chris was nice enough to bring her along this time. She wanted to do battle with a Marlin and that she did. Elizabeth caught and released her first Striped Marlin, while the rest of the folks caught a few Dorado and nice 60+lb Wahoo.

Sean Music and his crew from Columbus, Ohio joined Alex and Manuel today with high hopes after yesterdays big Tuna on El Nuevo. Alex and Manuel didn't dissapoint, catching and releasing a nice Striped Marlin and also catching a 200+lb Blue Marlin. Unfortunately, the Blue couldn't be revived after the nearly 2 hour fight, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Finally, we had long time friend and customer Frank Ratel and his crew aboard Rum Runnin with Captain Chivo and his mate Jesus. The guys headed for the Pacific after hearing about Captain Alex's big Tuna out there the day before and they got started quickly with a nice Wahoo. After a few hours the Dorado's popped up and they got 4 nice fish. Finally, nearing closing time so to speak, they saw a school of Tuna pop up and Jesus threw a live Caballito as Manuel had the day before and sure enough, they got another big one. After nearly 2 hours, the guys boated a beast of a Yellowfin that weighed in over 150lbs.

Big Tuna and Big Marlin in the water, gotta love Cabo in August!!!!

Sunday Tuna Session

Just your typical Sunday for a couple of buddies from San Diego, battling a cow Yellowfin Tuna for over 3 hours. Craig and Mike Joyce, and their buddies from Poway/Escondido came to Cabo and repped East County San Diego as best they could today. After a few small Dorado, Captain Alex found a school of Tuna. Unfortunately, the Tuna were finicky and not interested in any of the lures, plugs or feathers we were pulling through the school. Mate Manuel thought the fish were finicky because of the heavy line and leader on the lures. He live baited a Caballito onto one of the pitch bait rods and threw a Caballito out into the school and immediately got hooked up. Manuel knew the fish had some size to it as he handed the rod off and because the live bait rod and reel is set up with 40lb test and 100lb leader, he knew the guys might be in for a long fight. The long fight turned out to be 3.5 hours as the guys passed the rod back and forth a few times but finally landed the big Yellowfin. The guys were stoked on the 150+lb fish and had plenty of sashimi and filets to bring back to San Diego.

Frank Frank go Away!

Today's fishing was also great peeps. We had 2 boats out and as I stated earlier on Twitter we had Jennifer Enciso, previous customer, fishing aboard ReelRum with Captain Jesus and Mates Edgar and Omar.

This time she went fishing with her fiance Skii and this nice couple ended up with 1 dorado which was caught 3 miles out from The Cerro Bank and a nice huge 220 Lb Blue Marlin caught by a spot called La Herradura which in English means The Horse shoe. AS they were walking into the office I saw the mates in front of them and they just kept bringing in fish in bags, buckets and more bags. This couple emptied the ocean! Great job guys!

Last but not least we had Max and Terry Munn fished on Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Alonso and their final score was a 25 Lb Dorado and a 40 Lb Wahoo by the Golden Gate Bank. 1 Blue Marlin snapped the line and got away but they still had an awesome time out there. Thank you guys for fishing with us!!

Update on Hurricane Frank is that it is located 550 Km south of Cabo. The port will not be closed tomorrow so fishing will take place as scheduled. Will have another update tomorrow. We are expecting thunderstorms tonoight...but to be honest I don't even think so, it's sunny and hot! so come to Cabo guys!!

Happy Birthday Paige Aderholt

So Yesterday was an awesome day we had 5 boats out and lots of fish to Vaccum Seal and Freeze for our customers.

Our Friend Scott Patterson and his crew went out for a second day on partner boat SolMar1 and caught/released a Striped Marlin! These guys are planning on going out for a 3rd time, hopefully they'll decide to go out on Saturday!

Chris English and Brenda Guerra from San Diego fished aboard the 28' ReelRum with Captain Jesus and Mates Edgar and Omar. They fished for a full day on the Sea of Cortez and ended up with a 25 Lb Dorado and 2 Blue Marlin! They were thrilled with their whole trip and we hope to have them fish with us real soon! BTW they donated their fish for charity, that's awesome!!! thanks guys.

Happy Birthday Paige Aderholt!!!! Paige decided to celebrate her b-day aboard the 33' Nuevo along with Charles, Hannah and Suzanne this past Tuesday Aug, 25th. On day 1 which was Monday, Aug. 23rd. Paige managed to reel in a 9ft 9inch Blue Marlin all on her own and it only took 20 minutes!!! AWESOME JOB PAIGE, this sure was a dream come true. This "Super Girl" also caught two 10 Lbs Dorados on that same day while hubby Charles took care of his lovely lady and made sure she had the best fishing trip ever.

On Tuesday Aug 25th Paige and Charles decided to go out fishing with Hannah and Suzanne (Charles' sister and niece) to celebrate her b-day. On this day this team caught and released another 8ft Blue Marlin! AWESOME and also caught and kept a 15 Lb Dorados. It took 20 min to reel the Marlin in, nice job ladies!...and gentlemen.

Paige, we are so glad you decided to celebrate your birthday with us, can't thank you enough. Hopefully day 3 of your fishing trip will be a lucky one as well!! and we hope you have an awesome time in your snorkeling trip tomorrow. "FELIZ CUMPLEANOS"
on behalf of the whole RedRum Team.

From Michigan we had Nenad and Marko Milicevic fish aboard our 28' Tantrum along with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan for a full day trip. This Father-Son team managed to catch and release 2 striped Marlin. No information on the size and weight was provided, but we do know they fished between La Herradura and Cerro Gordo. Thanks for fishing with us guys.

And last but not least the group that was outside the office at 5:30AM! ready and eager to go out fishing was Mike Kelly and his party of 5. This awesome group is full of of energy and had an awesome time reeling in 8 Dorado (4 of them were released) and 2 nice 40 Lbs Wahoo. They promised to share their pictures and videos with us, so we expect to see them soon and post them on this fish report and our other sites.

Marlin and Dorado

Hi Guys,

Thanks for reading our reports! Yesterday was an awesome day here in Cabo for both weather and fishing. It was a very hot day, around 96F - 97F but nice! We had success with all 4 boats that went out fishing and every single customer that came back was satisfied with their trip! SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT!!!!!

Dennis Chadwick was out fishing on RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Americo for a full day trip. Dennis and his son Hunter had an awesome day fishing on the Sea of Cortez side and ended up catching and releasing 1 Marlin (180 Lbs) and 1 Dorado. I was telling these guys that the last 2 teenagers named Hunter had caught Marlins and I was pretty sure this 16 yr old was no exception...and so I was right! Nice job guys.

Jeff Wing and Wayne Repard from Fairfield CA, (which is really close to Vallejo...the city where I am from...sigh =0) went fishing with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan aboard the 28' Tantrum. These guys fished the 95 and 1150 bank for most part of the day and even though it started off a bit slow, it started picking up real good as the day went buy. Their total catch were 6 Dorados between 20-40 Lbs. Not bad at all.

Another Dorado reeling couple were Scott and Heather Osterhoudt who fished aboard the 28' ReelRum along with Captain Jesus and Mate Edgar. Just like Tantrum they fished the Sea of Cortez and ended up with a total of 2 Dorado which will be heading back to PA tomorrow morning. Have a safe flight and hope you guys come back soon!

Last but not least we had Miguel Enciso and his family members fish the seas of Baja Cali along with Captain Alex and Mate Omar. This awesome family knows how to rock it here in Cabo. A day before their fishing trip some of the members had gone skydiving and had a blast and their fishing trip was no exception! They caught and released 2 Marlin which weighed 150 Lbs each. They also caught 4 dorados and 1 Bonita. Jennifer enjoyed the trip so much she decided to go out a second day, let's see how she does!

Back in Business!

Hi everybody,

It's good to be back in Cabo and working! Unfortunately I had to leave almost 2 weeks ago after I received an emergency phone call from my family in Mexico City. I just got back this past Friday. Thank you all who have kept my Mom in your prayers. Things are looking a bit better, but we are still waiting for that angioplasty surgery this upcoming Saturday...I am confident that everything will be ok.

After coming back to work on Saturday, I realized I missed out on a lot and it took me a while before I got updated with all the changes in the office...but I am up and about ready for round 2!

That is why I did not post anything for Saturday or Sunday. I was busy "understanding" some things here in the office.

So on Saturday we had Russell Brewster and his 4 friends fishing for a second day on Nuevo with captain Alex and Mate Manuel. These guys had luck on their side throughout their whole trip, I mean a day before they had caught that 50 Lbs Rooster and some other fish and this last day was no exception. They fished on the Sea of Cortez and after their full day of fishing and fun their total count was 1 66' Dorado (Which is probably the biggest I've seen)and a 180" Striped Marlin.

These guys showed me pictures of their catch and I was shocked to see such a big Dorado! I sure hope they send in the picture so we can show it off to everyone!

Mike Fox, who had previously fished a day before on Nuevo, decided to try RumRunnin on this day, and after their full day of fishing they ended up with 4 nice size Dorados. They took some to get it cooked with Cesar the Chef! I personally know this Chef and I know he does a wonderful job with food! Nice guys.
They also fished on the 22nd aboard Nuevo, but they did not have as much luck as previous days.

ReelRum went out on Aug. 22nd for a full day but had no luck out there! I won't say names.....All I know is that Captain Jesus and Mate Edgar tried their hardest out there but the fishies were just not cooperating!

abard Tantrum we had Anny Rodriguez and Alexander Sandoval from Chicago who fished for a full day with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan. This nice couple reeled in a total of 13 Dorado, biggest being between 35-40 Lbs. They took some to a restaurant to get it cooked for the night and left the rest to haul back when they leave to San Francisco. Awesome job guys!

Last but not least we had Michael and Mandi Waldron from Shreveport, LA and their trip was cut short because water was too rough so they decided to head back not before reeling in 3 nice size dorados. They came back by 11 and they had already caught 3 Dorado which means that fish are starting to bite closer and earlier!

Thanks for Reading
Nick

P.S. I also want to Thank John, Ryan, Brooke and Randie for always being there when I needed them. Thanks guys! you are my second family!!!!

Wowsa!!

Well it has been an amazing day on the water for RedRum clients today!

We kicked off with the Brewster party enjoying a Stay & Play package at the Portofino Condos. They headed out for their 2nd day on the water aboard ReelRum for a half day trip. They headed out to the Sea of Cortez area along Chileno Bay and was able to pull 1 Dorado, 4 Jack Crevalle and a whopping 50 lb. Roosterfish! Not too shabby.

Our other boats headed out to the Pacific side for their full day trips. First back were Kyle and Adrienne from Indiana aboard TantRum with Capt. Ramon. Kyle walked into the office and says, "Well, we got skunked!". Of course this happens from time to time with fishing, but before I could say more he smiled and said, "Just kidding! We pulled in 5 Striped Marlin!" He and Adrienne were ecstatic of course. They were able to release all 5 of the beautiful Stripers. We'll see you in October for your 40th Kyle!

Next back was RumRunnin with Captain Javier. Jim, Robbin, Dave and John had a great day out at Golden Gate as well. Our friends from Horned Frog country as well as Minnesota were all smiles with their bagged up Dorado. They were able to catch 2 nice Dorados as well as 2 Striped Marlin. One of the Stripers weighed in at what they thought to be about 200 lbs. One of the bigger Stripers we've seen in awhile. Both were released as well. Thanks for fishing with us again guys, we'll see you again soon we hope!

And last but not least was another wonderful group from CCA Texas hailing from Houston and Oklahoma. They too are also enjoying the Portofino Condos. Michael, Lance, Mike and Joel headed out for the first of three days aboard El Nuevo. Out at Golden Gate Mike Fox was able to reel in that Striped Marlin that he was waiting for that weighed in at about 120 lbs. They also pulled in another 3 Dorado weighing between 20-40 lbs. Now they're headed back to the condos to have a nice meal cooked up by Chef Cesar at the condos. Yummy!

Thanks for checking in! Oh, and we're happy to announce that Nick will be back in the office tomorrow. We have missed his shining face.

Alex's Twins!

As many of you know, Captain Alex and his wife recently had twin baby girls.

Here is a shot of the two cuties!

Nice and Calm today...

After some swells yesterday that came with the Low Pressure System today looks to be a beautiful day on the water. A little overcast and no one is going to complain about that in August in Cabo!

Low Pressure System in the Cortez

Well, we've had a low pressure system sitting in the Sea of Cortez/Pacific for the past few days and it has made for some bumpy rides out to the fishing grounds, but the swells are really only effecting the coastal waters. Most of our anglers have shared the same sentiment, once you get to banks, things really start to calm down.

The Blue and Black Marlin bite is still very strong right now with lots of Blue's in the 200-300lb class being caught and released. Just yesterday, Joseph Giladi and his family from Los Angeles joined Javier and Manuel on El Nuevo and they had a Blue that Alex estimated at 250lbs. The Giladi's were a little disappointed that they couldn't get the big fish onto the stern of the boat for a photo, but when you are dealing with a fish of that size, anything can happen. Javier said the fish was still a little "green" when it came to the side of the boat and for the safety of the fish and the anglers they decided against a family portrait.

Keil Strickland and his lovely wife Tiffany, my good friends from TCU were down to fish with us recently as well. They fished with Captain Ramon on TantRum and had a good day on the water. Keil had one thing on his mind and that was Marlin. The boys found a few fish tailing the surface of the water and pitched bait to several fish before getting a hook-up. Keil lost the first battle as the Striped Marlin spit the hook, but 15 minutes later they raised another Marlin and had a good hook set and Keil landed his first Marlin. Congrats Keil and thanks for releasing that fish to fight another day.

Scott and Kim Perry of Victoria, Texas had a great second day of action earlier in the week with 3 Striped Marlin, all caught and released. Captain Ramon on TantRum is on a serious hot streak with the Marlin right now. He had 4 Blue Marlin hook-ups in one day last week and is riding that hot streak as long as he can.

Sunday!

Hola everyone!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Once again we apologize for the delay on getting this report out, we appreciate your patience. We've been a bit short staffed during a busy time.

Here's the latest and greatest of what has been getting pulled in!

We had Aaron Huebner from Aurora, Colorado and Navid from Ladera Ranch, California head out on RumRunnin on August 14th and 15th. On Saturday they caught 1 small Tuna and a nice Blue Marlin. Today wasn't too bad either. With a bit of rain in the a.m. it cooled things off weather wise here in Cabo. They headed out to the 1150 point about 10-15 miles from there, they came back with about a 25lb Dorado as well as a Striper. Not too bad at all, nice to get some variety over the 2 days. It was a bit choppy today but didn't stop these two!

Saturday the 14th Keith & Brian Linton from California headed out on TantRum. They had some suerte out on the water reeling in one Dorado that they decided to pack up and bring home with them. They fought a Striped Marlin but lost it in the end.

The crew on ReelRum; Benjamin, David and John Powell from Florida and San Diego headed out with ReelRum. They were stoked to reel in 2 Marlin! And I wanted to be sure to tell all you readers that the Gulf of Mexico in their neck of the woods is open for fishing as of last week! Don't forget about visiting Florida, they've been hit hard.

On El Nuevo Saturday the 14th, David, Tom, Robert and Frank all from New Jersey had a great 2nd day on the water. They reeled in 2 Marlin and 2 Dorado!

Taylor, Paul and Roman from Kansas City headed out on Grey Light on the 14th. Ulysses did a great job of getting them into some Dorado, they were able to reel in 2 of them.

And last but not least for Saturday, John Southard and his crew headed out with Cabo Chica. They were able to reel in 1 Striped Marlin and 1 Dorado for the day.

Now for the rest fishing this great Sunday...

The friendly Blessing group from Ft. Worth, Texas (GO FROGS!) headed out with El Nuevo. They had fish on their minds. They went out past the 1150 and saw quite a few jumping Marlin but just couldn't get any of them to bite. Thanks for understanding friends that that's all a part of fishing.

We had the super nice couple with their Southern charm hailing from Victoria, Texas, Kim and Scott Perry. They went out on Tantrum fishing about 10-15 miles past the 1150 (that's about 32 miles from Cabo folks!) They were able to reel in a nice Striped Marlin as well as a yummy looking Dorado. Kim is excited to go back to her favorite restaurant that she remembers from last year tomorrow night... Misiones de Kino. They are ready for more fishing tomorrow!

Well we once again thank you for your patience with our delayed report. Please keep Nick's mom in your prayers!

Happy Sunday everyone.
Brooke

Prayers...

You may have noticed in my earlier post that we are short staffed right now. Nick Lopez, our wonderful office manager, had to return home to Mexico City for a family emergency. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick and his family now, and hope you will do the same.

Catching up....

Sorry for the lapse in reports guys, we have been super busy here in the office and a little short staffed as of late. The fishing has been really good lately, with tons of big Marlin making their way into the Cabo waters. This is always the time of year that we start to see lots of big Blue and Black Marlin and it looks like this year will be special. The last week or so we have caught more Blue Marlin than any week since I have been down here. Should make for some interesting tournaments this year.

The bite has been pretty consistent with a few Yellowfin and Dorado each day, and plenty of Marlin. We did have one day earlier this week where the fish weren't biting, and I apologize for to those customers that didn't catch fish, but overall it has been good fishing.

We had Sunday off this past week so I will get you started with Monday's action.

Andy Sherwood and Greg Cook from Fort Worth, Texas joined the guys on ReelRum for a day and it was a memorable one. Andy was up first and he caught a nice Dorado, which was great, but I have a feeling he would have rather given his buddy Greg that first fish. The next bite they got was a serious one, and Greg got into the chair and battled for almost two hours with a monster Marlin. This was Greg's FIRST OFFSHORE STYLE FISHING TRIP and FIRST OFFSHORE FISH (I know that many of you are rolling your eyes in disgust, but be happy for the guy!) The Blue Marlin was estimated at 450lbs and Greg was stoked! Hopefully he is hooked for life and will be coming back to see us soon.

Our Stay and Play customers, the Sanchez's, Dee's and Smith's decided to take the ladies fishing today, and unfortunately the picked the rougher of the two days to do so. They were back by 11am, as some of the ladies weren't feeling great, but they still had a great day, fishing wise. They caught and released 3 Striped Marlin, one almost 10ft. in length, before calling it a day.

Father/Son/Daughter combo's the Goodenough's from San Jose, California and the Klempf's from Jacksonville, Florida each had nice day's on the water with 2 nice Dorado each.

Richard Campbell and Sergio Garcia, from Studio City, California each got to battle with a Striped Marlin today aboard Rum Runnin'. Both fish were caught and released.

Tuesday- Tuesday was a little slow and for some reason the fish weren't cooperating all that well but we had a few boats that did well.

Tray Balke and his girlfriend Maci Massengale from Houston, Texas joined us for a day on Anzuelo and they too were each able to battle a Striped Marlin. Salvador got them hooked up, showed them how it was done, snapped a quick picture for them and released the fish to fight another day.

Steve and Jennilyn Bumpas from Fort Worth, Texas are down on vacation with their two boys Colton and Drew. They joined the crew of Marlin Too today for a half day on the water. They had plenty of action, but not much success. They hooked into a Blue Marlin, a Striped Marlin and a Dorado, but lost all three.

Bad Day for Husband and Wife fishing groups, Eric and Donna Lonadier and Luis and Kristine Mitjans each came back empty handed today. I know the crews worked their butts off, sometimes the fish just don't cooperate.

The Zoellner's, Tom, Tommy and Artum, fished with Javier for half a day today on Rum Runnin. They had several hook-ups but managed only 1 catch and release Marlin.

Wednesday- Fish woke up after a slow day and action was back!

Jacob Bazella and his crew were down from Minnesota and Telluride, Colorado enjoying his timeshare for a week. They decided to get a day of fishing in and they had a nice day on the water catching a real nice Dorado and a 200+lb Blue Marlin.

Jim Rodriguez and his crew down from Los Angeles, California got into the Dorado with Ulyses on Grey Light and they landed 3 nice fish. One for each person on board.

Jon Meyers who is a repeat RedRummer, showed Daniel and Margaret Valles from Richmond, Texas how it is done. They fished with Javier aboard ReelRum and they caught and released a nice Blue Marlin estimated at over 200lbs.

Steward Mills was back at it again yesterday after getting skunked the first day out. He was certainly rewarded on day 2 with Javier and Americo getting a real nice Dorado and a Striped Marlin.

Blue's are in People, we lost a 400 lb. Blue Marlin!!!!!!

OMG Guys, today was Marlin Saturday all the way. All our boats caught and released Striped Marlin and 1 blue Marlin. It was sharp. We had a 400 + lbs Blue Marlin that got away!!! darn, it would've been the biggest this week. This was caught by the 1150 and that's where all the boats went out today.

On the 28' Marlin Too we had Michael Montgomery and his family fish for 8 hours and reel in 3 Dorado, they also caught and released 1 sailfish and 1 Blue Marlin that weighed aroun 250 Lbs. They had an awesome time with Captain Pancho and Mate Oscar and even said Oscar made a delicous Guacamole dip! nice.

Manuel Sanchez and his Crew from CCA fished on their first day on Nuevo with Captain Omar and Mate Manuel they also had a great day out in the water and caught and released 3 striped marlin, between 150 - 190 Lbs! Lets see how they do on Monday!

Rod Watson fished for a second time and his total score for this day was 1 Striped Marlin that weighed around 225 Lbs! In total these guys caught and released 1 blue marlin 220 Lbs, 3 Striped Marlin 150 - 225 Lbs. This group was able to get a 400 Lbs Blue Marlin to bite and right before they were able to get it on the boat...it got away!!!!! Darn, it would've been the biggest blue marlin this year....Maybe next time guys! This blue marlin was found in the 1150 bank, hope someone manages to reel it and release it one of these days!

Sten Svendsen was on Tantrum today and he caught and released 2 Striped Marlin! Captain Juan and Mate Omar did a great job out there today.

Thanks for reading. Marlin are in Cabo!!!!!!!!

Small Waves, Light Winds...Awesome weather

Hey guys!

Fishing has still been good through out this week. And I feel this week is going by so fast!!!!!!!!! Have like a million things to do here in the office. Weather is awesome, waves are smoothe, and winds are light, what else can we ask for???? maybe just more fish, but other than that we've been having success so far.

Fishing took place out by the Cerro which has been a hot spot for several days now, hopefully it will pick up even more.

Yesterday we had Jason Gunderson aboard Nuevo with Veronica Gunderson and together they caught and released an 80 Lbs Marlin and 1 Dorado. Nice job guys!

Robin Lacour was aboard Tantrum with Captain Ramon and Mate Juan and after a full day of fishing they reeled in a Dorado. Robin and Eric were on their honeymoon so congratulations to the newly weds!

Chris Garza from Dallas went out for half a day and caught a Dorado, they took the dorado back to a restaurant to get some of it cooked up. I hope they enjoyed their meal. Thanks guys!!

Can we find the Tuna again today?

After yesterday's unbelievable Tuna bite, they boys were heading back out to see if they could find that big school of hungry fish again. Let's see how they did.

Nikki Chadwick and Thad Fird are repeat customers down from Harrisburg, North Carolina. They searched and searched today, but could not find the school that was out about 25 miles yesterday, but they did get a couple of random Tuna bites. They finished the day with two Yellowfin.

Brian Bjorge and his wife Shelley, from Scottsdale, Arizona are here celebrating the wedding of their daughter Brooke, who is a friend of my wife, Brooke. Brian and Shelley joined Ramon and Cesar aboard Red Beam and they had an awesome day. They finished the day with 1 Dorado, 2 Yellowfin, and a nice 150lb Catch and Release, Striped Marlin.

James Waugh was back for his second day on the water and he had a phenominal day aboard ReelRum. Jesus was able to find a small school of Tuna, landing 6 fish, and they also caught and released a Marlin and added a nice Dorado as well. Best wishes to James' friends who weren't able to make it down to Cabo this year. Hopefully, we will see you in the near future.

Sunday Tuna Session

The boys found the Tuna today everyone! They had to go about 25 miles out before they found the big school, but once they did the action was non-stop on all the boats. Everyone had their limit today and there were some big fish in the school as well. They biggest fish was well over 100lbs and it hit on a colored Cedar Plug.

Julie and David Cooper from Harvey, California had a great day with Javier and Americo on Rum Runnin'. They were the first one's to find the school and they had action for hours with double and triple Yellowfin hook-ups. They finished the day with over 12 Tuna, releasing the majority of them.

Brandi and Gary Hollis from Lincoln, California joined Juan and Ramon on TantRum today and they got into the Tuna as well. Brandi and Gary each were able to fight a ton of fish with over 12 Tuna making their way to the boat as well.

Brian Gibler and his buddies, Dorman Fawley and Richard Levy had the most luck today out in the school of Tuna. They fished with Jesus and Manuel on El Nuevo RedRum. Jesus has been filling in for Captain Alex the last few days because Alex has had his hands full at home with two new baby girls. Congrats to Alex on the healthy twins and congrats to the guys on Nuevo today with more than 15 Tuna. Brian was the "lucky" guy today with the Big Fish of the Day, a Yellowfin that weighed in at over 130lbs. Brian fought this fish for over an hour and they got some beautiful filet't to bring back home.
