Another Black and Blue Day in Cabo!

Today we got into the Black and Blue action with a nice baby Blue estimated at 200lbs. While this small female might not be ready for the Bisbee this year, the release ensures this beautiful fish will have the potential to grow up and one day compete.

Seth Brown and his wife Kelly were the first ones back today on ReelRum. Omar and Americo found a nice size school of Yellowfin and had a blast bringing in one after the other. While they released a bunch of the fish they brought to the boat, they caught between 18-20 Yellowfin in the 15-35lb range.

Cabo Local Norm, had scheduled a trip this morning with another of Cabo's fine charter companies but after their boat broke down early he came to Cabo's Best Charter Company. Norm and his crew were the lucky anglers that hooked into the Blue Marlin, catching and releasing the estimated 200lb female. They were also kept busy in the school of Yellowfin, catching 18 Tuna.

The Johnston party was back for another day on the water and Bill, Scott, Brad, and Steven also got into the Yellowfin action. These guys were looking for Marlin all day and got to the school late, but were able to bring in 8 nice Yellowin Tuna.

Finally the Smolik Family, Mark, Linda, Jimmy and Matthew, headed out on the big boat the 54' Missing Lenk. Captain Mike also was looking for Marlin early but found the Tuna late and got 11 single jig strikes on the school. While they couldn't get an double or triple hook-ups the clients had their hands full, bringing in Tuna one after the other for the last 3 hours of the trip.

Great day on the water in Cabo!

Blacks and Blues Have Arrived!

While it wasn't on a RedRum boat the biggest Black Marlin of the year was caught today in Cabo San Lucas, with a nearly 700 lb monster being brought in. With the warm water and ample bait we knew it wouldn't be long before the Big Blue and Black Marlin arrived.

Gene and Rama Menn, Justin and Jolie Godfrey and Heath McDonald headed out with Alex and Ramon on El Nuevo today and had tough time hooking up. The boys spotted several billfish on the surface of the water and even had one hook-up with a nice Sailfish, but couldn't get anything to the boat. Next time guys!

Jack Parks, who fished with us on Friday and didn't have any luck, decided to try his luck again today on a Panga with Carlos. Today was finally the day he knocked the skunk off his offshore fishing luck, bringing in a nice Grouper and a good sized Dorado.

Finally, fellow Horned Frogs, Christine Chapman and Chris Gores headed out with Omar and Americo on ReelRum for a half day of fishing. Chris got to pull on, and land his first Marlin ever. Congrats Chris on a beautiful fish!
