2 more Marlin's on the board.

Offshore fishing is the thing right now, I swear it's even though marlin is found year round here in Cabo, January - May is not the Primo season for this fish. However; we've had some lucky groups this past week and this week we started off good.

WE had four boats going out but not all of them were able to land fish. I will omit the names and groups who did not catch fish just for good ol' sake!

Matagorda Texas CCA member Judy Brown decided to book a Play and Stay package for her party of 6. They fished on our 33' boat Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Manuel. the morning was a bit slow but picked up in the afternoon. It seemed like another boat was going to come back with no luck, but a change of events...
As they were heading back to the Marina, they spotted and landed a 94inch 120 Lbs Striped Marlin. I honestly don't remember the name of the person who caught the trophy fish because there was so many people in the office, but since they will be fishing again tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I'll figure it out and update the name of the lucky person who caught the Marlin. It was Released in the end. It took 20 min to land.

Craig McDonnold, Cody Wisniewski and Waggoner McDonnold fished on our 31' RedRum for a full day of fishing and they too had a successful fishing trip. They went out with Captain Omar and Mate Jesus and landed a Striped Marlin 9 ft that was aprox. 160 Lbs. They will be fishing again on Thursday so hopefully their next trip will be as good as this one!

Jeff Benon's 8 Ft 150 Lbs Striped Marlin

Hello All,

Things have been ok here in Cabo, as the days go by the temperature keeps getting warmer each day. I can just imagine this will be a hot summer!
Days have been sunny and winds pick up in the afternoon but nothing major, hasn't stopped us from catching fish.

On Sunday March 13th we had Jeff Blackburn, SamDeMaria, Kris Tarpey and Mike Tarpey fishing on our 31' RedRum with Captain Omar and mate Ramon for a half day. They mostly wanted small fish so did inshore. They ended up with 12 Sierras being caught in total. Not all of them were kept.

Second and last group fishing that day was Thomas and Jeff Benson fishing on RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Jesus. These guys fished the Sea of Cortez and Jeff landed a nice 8 Ft 150 Lbs Striped Marlin which took him 25 min. A Striper!
Tom sent down the pictures of this Trophy fish for Jeff. Check them out.
Congratulations Jeff!

In the first picture you'll see Jeff all happy with his striper but it sure wore him out! Check out pic number 2 where Jeff is just relaxing after a long 25 min of hard work....or maybe it was the other way around, first relaxin and then catching the fish??? I have no idea, but you can go ahead and decide for yourselves. The thing is they caught fish!
