Wahoo... BIG Wahoo

Warm warm water usually means Wahoo in our neck of the woods and today was no exception. With water ranging from 72-80 in and around Cabo, the boys were excited to get on the water this morning.

Alex and Ramon on El Nuevo hosted our good friend Alan Bryan, his new fiance Monica (congratulations!!!,) as well as his parents Kathy and Jim and his sister and brother in law Abby and Jeremy. The Bryan party had a few Dorado hook-ups throughout the day, none of which amounted to anything. A few Marlin were spotted by the crew, but no hook-ups. When it looked like a skunk the lucky lure they had out was slammed by a monster Wahoo. When they got the fish to the boat, Ramon the mate, estimated the fish to be 65-70lbs. Looks like the Bryan's will have some nice fillets for the rest of their stay. Congrats guys!

On ReelRum we had Josh Smith, Eric Gusinsky, and Paul LeCroy. Down from the Seattle area these Seahawks fans were not picky about what they wanted to catch today. The only request this morning, "tight lines." Well that would not be a problem it seemed. Two tuna early this morning, followed by 2 big Dorado. Unfortunately, while tight lines were not a problem, the fuel line was. A hose came loose on the ride home and the boat lost a good amount of diesel fuel. Making the best of a bad situation, Americo immediately put two lines in the water. As luck would have it, they were able to catch a Hammerhead and a Blue shark while Omar fixed the fuel line issue.

Great day for RedRum Anglers. Congrats to all.
