Knock the Roosterfish off the Bucket List!

Today we had the Mohr party for their last fishing day of their trip. Mrs. Mohr came in this morning and proclaimed that she had never had a chance at a Roosterfish and really wanted to catch one. I let her know that while we hadn't seen a ton of them lately we would sure try.

Captain Alex from El Nuevo had the day off so mate Ramon took the helm and Marshall from the Red Beam filled in. Marshall seams to be our inshore expert so the Mohr's were in luck. True to form, Marshall got them on the fish and they were able to bring in 5 Roosters, all catch and release. Mr. Mohr, even had a nice 35-40lber on before loosing it at the side of the boat, and a nice Amberjack was also lost. The guys were slow trolling live caballito on the Sea of Cortez when they got bit.

After getting the inshore fish out of the way, they decided to head offshore and search for some bigger fish. Once offshore they were able to hook up with and land the final Marlin of the trip. After they returned to port Mr. Mohr came into the office to give Brooke a big hug for setting up their dinner and massages the night before. Thanks very much for coming down and visiting us, look forward to seeing y'all next year.
