Sad Sad Day for Team RedRum

From John Donovan:

Our office mascot “Shea” passed away this morning, there was an accident (we do not wish to discuss). She was a great dog and friend to all of our RedRum family and friends. She will be missed by all. There are days that the number of fish that are caught does not matter, today is one of those days.

Please say a prayer for Shea, Ryan, Brooke and all the RedRum family.

Chris, James and James senior went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Manuel and Mate Juan. They fished Los Arcos and Golden Gate on the Pacific side. Just two miles from shore, where the water was eighty five degrees, the group caught a Marlin and 8 Dorado. They were four hours into their trip, a few Dorado already under their belt when they got a triple hook-up: Dick was fighting the nine foot; hundred and ninety pound Striped Marlin while the other two fought Dorado’s. The fight with Dick’s Marlin lasted forty five minutes and was afterwards released.

Isaac, Tom and James from California went out on our 31’ partner boat with Captain Ulises. They fished Los Arcos just four miles from shore. Using live bait, Jim caught and released a nine foot; hundred and forty pound Striped Marlin which he fought for about forty five minutes. Isaac caught a fifty pound Wahoo and they all helped in catching 2 fifteen pound Tuna as well as 8 fifteen to thirty pound Dorado.

The Weaver group went out for the second time this week on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. They fished Golden Gate just three miles from shore. Using feather lures they caught 5 twenty pound Dorado, two of which they released. They also caught a fifteen pound Tuna.

As happens at times, the honeymooners from Alaska, fishing on our 32’ RedBeam came back really early after the new bride became sick.

Michael and Justin from Louisville, Kentucky went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. They fished on Friday went the tropical storm going by us threw down some water and the Kentucky boys got a chance to fish again today with a clear sky. Fishing the Pacific waters they caught three fifteen pound Dorado and nailed a large Sailfish which they released.
