Sunday Fishing

We had 4 boats out today and all went well. Water is still in the mid-80's and fish are still very active. First group was Lori and John Dean and their friends, Diane and William Andries. Lori, John, Diane and William are the latest to partake in our Play and Stay packages. They loved the accomodations at Portofino, but were ready to get on the water. Captain Alex headed towards the Golden Gate bank on the Pacific in search of some action and it didn't take long. They finished the day with 3 boated Dorado, and few Billfish strikes, but couldn't get a Billfish hook-up.

Mark and Dorothy Willingham are down from Houston, Texas and are no strangers to Hurricane warnings. They re-counted their tales of the past few years and the storms they have been through. Luckily, they are leaving town on Monday and won't have to wait out another storm. That being said, the Willingham's had a hell of a day on the water. 11 Dorado, and 1 Yellowfin Tuna when all was said and done.

The Father/Son crew. John Rocky, John Rocky Jr., and Justin Rocky are down from California fishing on a credit from last year, when their trip was cancelled due to a Hurricane. As much as we like the Rocky's, this is starting to look like a pattern here. Everytime they come down or plan on coming down a Hurricane comes with them. They guys had a great first day on the water, they had tons of Dorado strikes and landed 3 fish, they also hooked into and landed a nice Striped Marlin. Good stuff guys, see you tomorrow.

Finally, we had another Father/Son combo with Brad and Alex Dodge. Brad and Alex fished aboard ReelRum with Omar and Juan. All the guys did a great job with Omar and Juan putting the guys on the fish and Brad and Alex bringing them in. They finished the day with 4 Dorado and a Striped Marlin catch and release.

Still watching the storm. Keeping our fingers crossed.
