Belated Fishing Report

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 16TH

Kodi and Kurt shared our 32’ RumRunnin. They were both looking to fish but their ladies weren’t having it. Not wanting to battle the bills and fins alone, they requested our help to find a suitable fighting partner and we were able to set this up. The new friends headed to the Pacific side and with the help of Captain Javier and Mate Manuel, Kodi and Kurt caught 5 Dorado and caught and released a Marlin.

Gordon and Gordon, the father-son duo, went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. After catching a ton of fish on Tuesday they went looking for a big one. Father and son spent two hours fighting a 150-200 pound Tuna before the line broke…bummer. They still had a great day on the water though and lots of fish to take home with them. So much, they couldn’t even fit it into their cooler and had to leave lots behind. Don’t worry guys, we have plenty of mouths we can feed over here.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH

Danny, Jay, Mike, Mike and Tom went out on our 33’ El Nuevo with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon for the second time this week. They fished our pacific waters and caught 3 Dorado using live bait and a ninety pound Sailfish, catch and release, also using live bait. They caught the Dorado offshore from Los Arcos and the Sail off of the Lighthouse, just five miles offshore.

Amy and her husband Michael from Gainesville, Virginia went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. They fished right outside of Golden Gate, just three miles offshore where water temperature was between 84-85 degrees. Using live bait, the couple caught 5 Dorado and 1 Marlin which they released.

Luke and friends went out on one of our 33’ partner boats but they had to come back early because four out of the six anglers got sea sick as unfortunately, sometimes happens.

Peter and friend David went out on a 31’ partner boat with Captain Ulises. They fished by the lighthouse, just two miles offshore and caught 6 Dorado using live bait.

Linda, Ed, Judy and Jerry from Colorado and Maryland went out on a 28’ partner boat and caught 3 Dorado on the Pacific side. Linda called ahead of time to make sure the proper equipment would be on the boat, iced and ready for consumption upon their arrival: 12 pack of BudLight and a case of Corona.

Jake, Brian, Brent, Dusty, David and Al from Louisiana went out on our 28’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. They fished Jimmy banks on the Pacific and landed a quadruple hookup! They were thirteen miles offshore and twenty miles from Cabo where water temperature was at 84 degrees. Using lures the guys caught 18 Tuna weighing up to thirty pounds and a thirty pound Dorado as well.
