Massive Sierra's all over the place and few big schools of Yellowfin!

James and Andrew Luers, longtime friends of Brooke's from Nebraska shared Nuevo with Jesus 3 and Alonzo today as Captain Alex had the day off. With 6 guys on board they started inshore to hammer some of the big Sierra and then headed offshore looking for a Marlin. Not finding any Stripers that were willing to bite, they headed back inshore. The guys finished the day with almost 30 Sierra, some as big as 4' and 20 lbs.

Ron McCullum was back for another day on ReelRum with Jesus and Edgar and he was in search of Yellowfin. After trolling through 3 different schools of Porpoise and not finding any Yellowfin that were willing to bite, Ron told the boys to head for home.

Danny Smith and his family fished with Omar and Americo today aboard RedRum and they had a great day. After hammering close to 10 Sierra inshore they went a few miles offshore to the Lighthouse Bank and got a Striped Marlin for a photo.

Finally, Bum-Suk Kim, fishing by himself and on the hunt for Tuna fished with our partner boat Cabo Chica and Captain Tata today. They found the same 3 schools of Porpoise as TantRum but took a chance and went looking for one more. That was the right call as Mr. Kim was able to hook into 12 Yellowfin, and a Dorado. They even found a few Marlin, but none were hungry. They fished about 20 miles straight out from the Cabo Marina.

Post Christmas fishing... Presents in store?

Stephen Lane and his crew are down for a week and getting two or three charters in with us. Stephan and his wife took out RedRum with Omar and Americo while the rest of the crew fished with TantRum and Captain Ramon. Ramon was able to find a hungry Marlin, but Stephen and Omar pitched bait to 9 different Marlin who had no interest in taking the bait. Stephen was stoked on how hard the boys worked throughout the day and that is always the best compliment we can receive.

Jan Lundberg and his buddies had their first of two days on the water with us aboard, ReelRum. Captain Jesus was back for his first charter in nearly a month after a nasty accident and he knocked the skunk off the boat quickly with two nice catch and release Marlin.

Marc Burtnicker fished by himself today and had a great day with Captain Salvador. After catching a half dozen Bonita inshore, they headed offshore and were able to entice a nice Striped Marlin and were able to catch and release it.

On El Nuevo today we had the Ruhman family from Houston and they were after Marlin. No Yellowfin, No Dorado, No inshore species, they wanted Marlin. Captain Alex and his mate Jesus 3 who is filling in for Manuel who is on vacation had plenty of opportunities. 3 different Striped Marlin were hooked, they just couldn't get one to the boat. Snapped leaders, spit hooks, etc. Chris Ruhman did his best, as did the crew, we just couldn't get one of those pesky Marlin to the boat for a photo.

Inshore fishing has been non-stop for Sierra and Roosters, even a few Yellowtail starting to show up. Offshore we have been running 10-20 miles to get to the Yellowfin, Marlin have been everywhere just very finicky.
