Monday's action

David Gladney and his buddies Mark Mathson and Jason Slovensky both of Forth Worth, Texas were down for a day of fishing aboard Rum Runnin'. David has been a client of ours for a few years now and wanted to share the RedRum experience with a few friends. Mark and Jason both got hooked up with Striped Marlin, and they crew finished with 8 Dorado as well. See you again in January David!

Another repeat client of ours Mark Moulton and his wife Carol, hosted Bob Gale and Bill Jame, everyone hailing from Washington state. Mark was down here last year at this time and for those of you who read this report often will remember that this time last year we were bringing in Marlin by the dozen. Well this year it is Dorado and Mark and his crew finished with 8 nice fish this year. Thanks for coming back to Redrum and Cabo San Lucas, hope to see you next year.

Stanley and Laura Honeycutt fished with us today aboard ReelRum and had a great day on the water. Captain Omar and Mate Americo put them on the fish from the start and they finished with 5 Dorado.

Rad Trascher and George Huye along with their lovely wives were back at it again today with a day on the water aboard our 33' Bertram, El Nuevo RedRum. Alex and Manuel took very good care of our friends from Louisiana, putting them on 8 Dorado and a nice Striped Marlin, again at the last minute. George and Rad were impressed by Captain Alex who saw a big bait ball about 200 feet below the boat, using his sonar equipment. Manuel rigged up a fat Caballito and sent it down. While it was George's turn on the rod, he thought it might be a big Tuna and wasn't interested in a long fight. Rad was quick to grab the bent rod and to his delight it was a nice 200lb Striped Marlin. It was a pleasure hosting you guys and hope to see you all again in the near future.

Sunday Report

The boys are fishing two different aread primarily. For those that want Tuna action, the Captains have been heading to Gordo Banks to see what the Sardine fishing can raise. Those that want to target Marlin and Dorado have been heading up the Pacific toward an area we call Los Arcos. Water temps are still warm, in the low 80's and we are still waiting on the Mackeral to arrive and the accompanying Marlin.

Today we had Rad Trascher along with his wife Berry and George Huye along with his wife Jessica visiting from Baton Rouge. Rad and George are heavily involved with CCA Louisiana and after sending countless groups down to stay at our condos and fish with us as part of our Play and Stay package it was time to see what the experience was like for themselves. Rad, George and the ladies really liked the accomodations and spent the first day or so getting acquinted with Cabo and taking our recommendations on where to eat and different things to do. Rad made a comment that each meal he had here was better than the previous, especially the finale where we cooked up some of their catch. For their first day on the water, they fished the 28' TantRum with Juan and Ramon. While the fishing has been fantastic as of late, they had a relatively slow day on the water, catching only one Dorado, before hooking a last minute Marlin, Rad's first! Hopefully tomorrow we can show them what Cabo fishing really has to offer.

Larry, John and Mike Guthrie from Washington state, fished with us today aboard RedBeam with Lupe and Muneca. These guys got into the fish right from the start and finished up with some great Dorado. While the average Dorado has been in the 25-35 lb range lately, these guys came back with 8 really nice fish, certainly above the average. They too, hooked up with a Stripey late and came back flying a Marlin flag.

Greg Page, Howard Water and Joe Sowell of Tennesee spent their second day on the water today with Omar and Americo aboard ReelRum. After catching Wahoo, Tuna and Dorado on day one, they finished up on day two with a ton of Dorado. They caught more than the limit and had to throw a few back, but had 11 fish to the boat when it was said and done.

Long time clients and friends, Jane and Charles Kitchens hosted their friends Lydia and Marvin Strakes for their first of two days on the water. While they only caught 1 Striped Marlin on the day, they did clean up on the Dorado bringing back 4 grocery sized bags of filets back. Their experience showed off with some real nice fish, 3 or 4 of which went over the 50lb mark.
