130 pound Tuna...are they back?

Billfish Tournament Details:
Joe, Robert, David, Kip and Randy won the Wahoo division on Thursday winning $7,800. They also caught 3 Dorado weighing between twenty and twenty five pounds and caught and released a two hundred and fifty pound Blue Marlin.

Justin, Jeremy, John and Collin from Los Angeles, CA went out on our 31’ partner boat with Captain Ulises. They fished the Pacific side about twenty miles from the Cabo Marina and caught 7 Dorado and caught and released a Striped Marlin.

Mike and friends went out on our 33’ partner boat with Captain Jerry. They fished the Pacific side and caught 8 Dorado.

John, Robert, Brian and Jan from New Jersey went out on our 28’ ReelRum with Captain Omar and Mate Americo. They fished the Pacific side and caught 11 thirty pound Dorado. They were on a Striped Marlin but lost it in the end after it jumped and spit out the hook.

Evan, William, Joe and Rick from California went out on our 28’ Tantrum with Captain Juan and Mate Marcial. They caught 16 Dorado weighing between twenty and thirty five pounds and released 6 smaller ones. They ran into a school of Dorado on the Pacific side about fifteen miles from the Cabo Marina and four miles from shore.

Brent, Stewart, Kurt and Jeff from Idaho went out on our 33’ partner boat with Captain Federico. They fished the Pacific side where Stewart caught and released a Striped Marlin. They also caught 12 Dorado and released an additional four small Dorado.

Christina and Ben got married in Cabo last week. To celebrate Christine gifted her new husband with a fishing trip but they got rained out so they decided to go out today and luckily we had a Panga to offer. They fished less than a mile from shore right here in our bay and caught 7 Dorado and 1 Roosterfish.

Casey and Bryan went out on a Panga as well today with Captain Carlos. They fished the Lighthouse area on the Pacific side less than a mile from shore and caught 15 fifteen to twenty pound Dorado, five of which they released and a small five pound Needlefish.

Ron and his son Brandon went out today on our 28’ partner boat with Captain Lupe and Mate Salvador. They fished the Pacific side just eleven miles from our Marina and two miles from shore. Ron caught and released a 94” Striped Marlin during a fifteen minute fight. They fought a second Marlin for an hour and a half but unfortunately lost it. The father-son also caught a Wahoo. They liked their crew so much they’ll be back tomorrow.

The Ulrich group came in on a cruise ship this morning and fished on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Cesar and Mate Fabian. They caught 6 Dorado weighing roughly twenty pounds close by the Lighthouse, a mile and a half from shore. Water temperatures were between eighty five and eighty six degrees.

Frank and friends went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. They fished Migri~no on the Pacific side about seventeen miles from the Marina and five miles from shore. They caught 13 fifteen to twenty pound Dorado, releasing six of them. They also caught a hundred and thirty pound Tuna using a black and grey lure. First big Tuna we have seen in the last few weeks. We hope to see more of them soon!
