A Man's Perfect Day

The sun is out at 91 degrees Fahrenheit and the breeze is flowing east south east at about 13 mph through Cabo today. All the boats headed out to the Sea of Cortez to avoid the wind on the Pacific side. Jerry, Allen, Blaine and Thomas from Corpus Christi, Texas went out on our 33’ El Nuevo again today with Captain Alex and Mate Ramon. These guys are enjoying their stay at the Portofino Condos with the Stay & Play Package they purchased through CCA Texas. Fishing out in the Sea of Cortez and catching and releasing one Striped Marlin. They head back tomorrow but will hopefully be back to see us.

Virgins to Cabo until now, the friendly couple Eric and Kelly Huszar headed out on ReelRum with Omar and Americo. Hailing all the way from Edgewater, Maryland they are enjoying their time in Cabo. They reeled in 2 dorado and 4 Jack Cravelle. Kelly put it best when she said, “I understand what people mean when they say, it’s not if I’ll come back, but when!” They took a few fillets and headed down to Mango Cantina for some fresh fish tacos and Dorado fingers. We hope to see you back.

Aboard RumRunnin was a wild crew. I know personally because it was my husband Ryan, one of his best buddies, Mark Boone from TCU who is in town visiting, along with some friends from down here, Marshall, Ash, Leon and Rueben. After tearing up the town of Cabo last night, the crew of 6 miraculously arrived to go fishing at 6:30 am. With Chivo and Mickey as their crew, they headed out to the Sea of Cortez between the 95 and Gordo Banks. Although they came in early from fishing to make their 2:30 tee time, they still caught dinner! Boone managed to reel in a 40 lb. Dorado, which will be sitting on a platter for all of us at dinner at Misiones de Kino this evening, our favorite spot. Along with the Dorado, they had 2 Jack Cravelles and 2 Bonitas, all caught on live bait, caballito. It’s a non-stop day for these guys, fishing and golfing and drinking, oh my. A man's perfect day, right?

Back on the water for day 3, these guys just can’t get enough! Paul, Grant and Ross are on a fishing bender. Today they headed out with Marcial and Muneco aboard RedBeam. They came back with a nice Wahoo and a Striper. They booked another boat for tomorrow and the freezer is full of their fish. We’ll see you all tomorrow.

Happy Father’s Day Weekend!
