Enough Tuna to Last Through the Winter

Leslie Jordan and her new husband Jerome went out with daughter Shelby and her friend Jillian on our 32’ RedBeam with Captain Marcial. Leslie and Jerome wed this past Tuesday on famous and beautiful Pedregal beach and decided to celebrate their amor fishing with us today and doing a great job at it! They fished Golden Gate on the Pacific side just thirteen miles offshore where the water was at eighty five degrees. They caught 8 Tuna ranging from twenty to forty pounds and on their way back caught 3 Dorado weighing up to twenty pounds.

Tom, Greg and Steven from Minnesota made me laugh more than usual this morning and even as they arrived back after an eight hour fishing trip they managed to keep the humor running high. Great anglers that they are, they didn’t pout after coming back with just one Tuna. “That’s why it’s called fishing” said Greg. Lucky for them they’ll also be going out on Saturday and get another try at reeling in a big Tuna. One thing is for sure, they won’t let anything get in their way when it comes to having a good time.

AJ and his wife from California went out on our 32’ RumRunnin with Captain Javier and Mate Manuel. They went off to Golden Gate, about twelve miles offshore and caught 5 Tuna. Three of the Tuna were quite large and took us forever to vacuum seal. The three largest Tuna weighed 120lbs, 95lbs and 45 pounds. They’ll be taking their fish home with them tomorrow once it gets all frozen and will have enough Tuna meat to get them through the winter.
