Friday report

Today we had two cancellations, so it made for an easy morning with only two boats heading out. Water temps have continued to be in the 82-84 degree range and Caballito, the primary bait available each morning.

Today we had Joe Bostic, and Joe Brzeczek, along with Chris Acker, Ty Sherwood, Jason Ellis, and Mark Johnston fishing aboard Pescado III with Captain Fiden. The guys had a great 1/2 day trip and saw tons of action. While they couldn't get any of the Marlin to engage today, they stayed busy on the Dorado, with at least 4 nice fish finding their way into the spread and on to the boat. The guys also released a few smaller fish.

Colin Cornwell, Bryan Shuttles and Jeff Latner made up our second group of the day, fishing aboard Rum Runnin with Captain Americo and Mate Manuel. Things looked promising for the guys right off the bat today with a quick Dorado hook-up before 8am. That would however be the last bite for several hours. Americo, Manuel, Colin, Bryan and Jeff stuck with it though and continued their search for fish. Things on the water continued to disappoint in the early afternoon, while seeing several Billfish tailing on the surface, but unfortunately not interested in the live pitched bait. I was beginning to worry when 4pm rolled around and the guys still weren't back. This usually means one of three things; a big fish, a lot of fish, or boat troubles. Luckily for the guys it was a lot of fish. Americo and Manuel did what was right and spent some extra time on the water making sure the clients left happy, and with sore arms. They found a nice school of Dorado on the way back to Cabo and got 8 more nice Dorado to finish up the day. Great job guys, way to stick it out.
